Sunan an-Nasa'i 2071
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) passed by two graves and said, ‘they are being punished, but they are not being punished for anything that was difficult to avoid. One of them used not to take care to avoid getting urine on his body or clothes, and the other used to walk about spreading gossip.' Then he took a fresh palm stalk and broke it in half, and planted one half on each grave. They said, ‘O Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), why did you do that?’ He said, ‘may it be reduced for them so long as this does not dry out or until this dries out.’

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب تم میں سے کوئی مرتا ہے تو اس پر صبح و شام اس کا ٹھکانا پیش کیا جاتا ہے، چنانچہ اگر وہ جہنمی ہے تو جہنمیوں ( کے ٹھکانوں ) میں سے ( پیش کیا جائے گا ) ، اور کہا جاتا ہے: یہ ہے تمہارا ٹھکانا یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں قیامت کے روز اٹھائے“۔
Abd-al-lah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jab tum mein se koi marta hai to us par subah o sham us ka thakanah pesh kiya jata hai, chananchh agar woh Jahanmi hai to Jahanmiyon (ke thakanon) mein se (pesh kiya jayega), aur kaha jata hai: Yeh hai tumhara thakanah yahan tak ke Allah Ta'ala tumhein Qiyamat ke roz uthaiye“.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يُعْرَضُ عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ إِذَا مَاتَ مَقْعَدُهُ مِنَ الْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَمِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ قِيلَ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
