Sunan an-Nasa'i 2206
Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur Rahman narrated that Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) reported to me that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'whoever spends the nights of Ramadan in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins, and whoever spends the night of Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, he will be forgiven his previous sins.’

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جس نے رمضان میں ایمان کے ساتھ ثواب کی نیت سے قیام کرے گا، اس کے پچھلے گناہ بخش دئیے جائیں گے، اور جو شب قدر میں ایمان کے ساتھ ثواب کی نیت سے قیام کرے گا اس کے ( بھی ) پچھلے گناہ بخش دئیے جائیں گے“۔
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jis ne Ramadan mein iman ke sath sawab ki niyyat se qiyam karega, uske pichhle gunaah bakhsh diye jayenge, aur jo shab-e-qadr mein iman ke sath sawab ki niyyat se qiyam karega uske (bhi) pichhle gunaah bakhsh diye jayenge".
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، وَأَبُو الأَشْعَثِ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ قَامَ رَمَضَانَ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَنْ قَامَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
