Sunan an-Nasa'i 3256
Umm Salamah (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that when her 'Iddah had ended, Abu Bakr ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) sent word to her proposing marriage to her, but she did not marry him. Then the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله تعالى عنه) with a proposal of marriage. She said, tell the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) that I am a envious woman and that I have sons, and none of my guardians are present.’ He went to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and told him that. He said, ‘go back to her and tell her, As, for your saying that you are a envious woman, I will pray to Allah for you to take away your envy. As for your saying that you have sons, your sons will be taken care of. And as for your saying that none of your guardians are present, none of your guardians, present or absent, would object to that.’ She said to her son, ‘O 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه), get up and perform the marriage to the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), so he performed the marriage.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ جب میں سات سال کی تھی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھ سے شادی کی، اور جب میں نو برس کی ہوئی تو مجھ سے خلوت فرمائی ۔
Umme-ul-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain ke jab main saat saal ki thi to Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se shadi ki, aur jab main nau bars ki hui to mujh se khalwat farmaai
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ مُسَاوِرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ وَدَخَلَ عَلَىَّ لِتِسْعِ سِنِينَ .
