Sunan an-Nasa'i 3900
Hanzalah bin Qais narrated that he asked Rafi' bin Khadij (رضي الله تعالى عنه) about leasing land. He said, 'the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) forbade leasing land.' I said, 'for gold or silver?' He said, 'no, rather he forbade leasing it in return for what the land produces. As for gold and silver, there is nothing wrong with that.'

حنظلہ بن قیس کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رافع بن خدیج رضی اللہ عنہ سے زمین کو کرائے پر دینے کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ نے زمین کرائے پر دینے سے روکا ہے، میں نے کہا: سونے، چاندی کے بدلے؟ کہا: نہیں ( اس سے نہیں روکا ہے ) ۔ آپ نے تو اس سے صرف اس کی پیداوار کے بدلے روکا ہے۔ رہا سونا اور چاندی ( کے بدلے کرایہ پر دینا ) تو اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں سفیان ثوری نے بھی اسے ربیعہ سے روایت کیا ہے لیکن اسے مرفوع نہیں کیا ہے۔
Hunzalah bin Qais kahte hain ke main ne Rafe bin Khadeej (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se zameen ko kraye par dene ke bare mein poocha, to unhon ne kaha: Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne zameen kraye par dene se roka hai, main ne kaha: sone, chandi ke badle? kaha: nahin ( is se nahin roka hai ). Aap ne to is se sirf us ki pedaawar ke badle roka hai. Raha sona aur chandi ( ke badle kraye par dena ) to is mein koi harj nahin Sufiyan Thouri ne bhi isse Rabi'ah se riwayat kiya hai lekin isse marfoo' nahin kiya hai.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الأَرْضِ، فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ كِرَاءِ الأَرْضِ. قُلْتُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْوَرِقِ قَالَ لاَ إِنَّمَا نَهَى عَنْهَا بِمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا فَأَمَّا الذَّهَبُ وَالْفِضَّةُ فَلاَ بَأْسَ. رَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ رضى الله عنه عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ.
