Sunan an-Nasa'i 4137
Jubair bin Mut'im (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that when the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) distributed the share to his relatives of Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, I came to him with Uthman bin Affan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and we said, 'O Apostle of Allah, no one denies the virtue of Banu Hashim because of the relationship between you and them. But how come you have given (a share) to Banu Al-Muttalib and not to us? They and we share the same degree of relationship to you. 'The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "They did not abandon me during the Jahiliyyah or in Islam. Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib are the same thing, and he interlaced his fingers.’

جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ذی القربی کا حصہ بنی ہاشم اور بنی مطلب میں تقسیم کیا تو میں اور عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ آپ کے پاس آئے، ہم نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! یہ بنی ہاشم ہیں، آپ کے مقام کی وجہ سے ان کی فضیلت کا انکار نہیں کیا جا سکتا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس مرتبے کے ساتھ آپ کو ان میں سے بنایا ہے، لیکن بنی مطلب کے بارے میں کیا خیال ہے؟ آپ نے انہیں دیا اور ہمیں نہیں دیا۔ حالانکہ آپ کے لیے ہم اور وہ ایک ہی درجے کے ہیں، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”انہوں نے مجھے نہ زمانہ جاہلیت میں چھوڑا اور نہ اسلام میں، بنو ہاشم اور بنو مطلب تو ایک ہی چیز ہیں“، اور آپ نے اپنے ہاتھوں کی انگلیاں ایک دوسرے کے اندر ڈالیں۔
Jabir bin Mu'tam (رضي الله تعالى عنه)u kehte hain ke jab Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne dhi al-qurbi ka hissa bani Hashim aur bani Matlab mein taqsim kiya to main aur Usman bin Affan (رضي الله تعالى عنه)u aap ke pas aaye, hum ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Yeh bani Hashim hain, aap ke maqam ki wajah se in ki fazilat ka inkar nahi kiya ja sakta ke Allah Ta'ala ne is martaba ke sath aap ko in mein se banaya hai, lekin bani Matlab ke bare mein kya khayal hai? Aap ne unhen diya aur hamen nahi diya. Halanki aap ke liye hum aur woh ek hi darje ke hain, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Unhon ne mujhe na zamana jahiliyat mein chhora aur na Islam mein, Banu Hashim aur Banu Matlab to ek hi chez hain“, aur aap ne apne hathon ki angliyan ek doosre ke andar dali.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَهْمَ ذِي الْقُرْبَى بَيْنَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَيْتُهُ أَنَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنُو هَاشِمٍ لاَ نُنْكِرُ فَضْلَهُمْ لِمَكَانِكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكَ اللَّهُ بِهِ مِنْهُمْ أَرَأَيْتَ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ وَمَنَعْتَنَا فَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ وَهُمْ مِنْكَ بِمَنْزِلَةٍ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يُفَارِقُونِي فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلاَ إِسْلاَمٍ إِنَّمَا بَنُو هَاشِمٍ وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ شَىْءٌ وَاحِدٌ " . وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ .
