Sunan an-Nasa'i 509
It was narrated that Abu Bakr bin 'Uthman bin Sahl bin Hunaif said: "I heard Abu Umamah bin Sahl say: 'We prayed Zuhr with 'Umar bin 'Abdul-'Aziz, then we went out to meet Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and we found him praying 'Asr.'" I said: "O uncle, what is this prayer that you prayed?" He said: "'Asr; this is the prayer of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) that we used to pray with him."

ابوامامہ بن سہل کہتے ہیں: ہم نے عمر بن عبدالعزیز کے ساتھ ظہر پڑھی پھر ہم نکلے، یہاں تک کہ انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس آئے، تو ہم نے انہیں عصر پڑھتے ہوئے پایا، تو میں نے پوچھا: میرے چچا! آپ نے یہ کون سی نماز پڑھی ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: عصر کی، یہی رسول اللہ ﷺ کی نماز ہے جسے ہم لوگ پڑھتے تھے۔
Abu Umama bin Sahl kehte hain: Hum ne Umar bin Abdulaziz ke sath Zuhr parhi phir hum nikle, yahan tak ke Anas bin Malik Radi Allahu Anhu ke paas aaye, to hum ne unhen Asr parhte huye paya, to main ne poocha: Mere chacha! Aap ne ye kaun si namaz parhi hai? Unhon ne kaha: Asr ki, yehi Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki namaz hai jise hum log parhte the.
أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ، يَقُولُ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا حَتَّى دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَوَجَدْنَاهُ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ قُلْتُ يَا عَمِّ مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةُ الَّتِي صَلَّيْتَ قَالَ الْعَصْرَ وَهَذِهِ صَلاَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الَّتِي كُنَّا نُصَلِّي .
