Sunan an-Nasa'i 513
Jabir ibn Abdullah narrated that Gabriel came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to teach him the times of the prayers. So Gabriel came forward and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood behind him and the people behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He prayed the noon prayer when the sun had passed its zenith. Then he came to him when the shade was equal to his height, and he did as he had done before. He prayed the afternoon prayer. Then he came to him when the sun was setting and he did as he had done before. He prayed the sunset prayer. Then he came to him when the red glow had disappeared and he did as he had done before. He prayed the night prayer. Then he came to him when the dawn had broken and he did as he had done before. He prayed the morning prayer. Then he came to him the next day when the shade of a man was equal to his height and he did as he had done the day before. He prayed the noon prayer. Then he came to him when the shade of a man was twice his height and he did as he had done the day before. He prayed the afternoon prayer. Then he came to him when the sun had set and he did as he had done the day before. He prayed the sunset prayer. Then we slept and we got up, then we slept and we got up, and he came to him and he did as he had done the day before. He prayed the night prayer. Then he came to him when the dawn had spread, the morning had come, and the stars were scattered and clustered, and he did as he had done the day before. He prayed the morning prayer. Then he said, "Between these two prayers is the time (for each prayer)."

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت ہے کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے وہ آپ ﷺ کو نماز کے اوقات سکھا رہے تھے، تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام آگے بڑھے، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پیچھے تھے اور لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے تھے، تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے ظہر پڑھائی جس وقت سورج ڈھل گیا، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ ﷺ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب سایہ قد کے برابر ہو گیا، اور جس طرح انہوں نے پہلے کیا تھا ویسے ہی پھر کیا، جبرائیل آگے بڑھے، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پیچھے ہوئے، اور لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے، پھر انہوں نے عصر پڑھائی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ ﷺ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب سورج ڈوب گیا، تو جبرائیل آگے بڑھے، رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پیچھے ہوئے، اور لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے، پھر انہوں نے مغرب پڑھائی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ ﷺ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب شفق غائب ہو گئی، تو وہ آگے بڑھے، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پیچھے ہوئے، اور لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے، تو انہوں نے عشاء پڑھائی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ ﷺ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب فجر کی پو پھٹی، تو وہ آگے بڑھے، رسول اللہ ﷺ ان کے پیچھے اور لوگ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پیچھے، انہوں نے فجر پڑھائی، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام دوسرے دن آپ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب آدمی کا سایہ اس کے قد کے برابر ہو گیا، چنانچہ انہوں نے ویسے ہی کیا جس طرح کل کیا تھا، تو ظہر پڑھائی، پھر وہ آپ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب انسان کا سایہ اس کے قد کے دوگنا ہو گیا، انہوں نے ویسے ہی کیا جس طرح کل کیا تھا، تو انہوں نے عصر پڑھائی، پھر آپ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب سورج ڈوب گیا، تو انہوں نے ویسے ہی کیا جس طرح کل کیا تھا، تو انہوں نے مغرب پڑھائی، پھر ہم سو گئے، پھر اٹھے، پھر سو گئے پھر اٹھے، پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام آپ کے پاس آئے، اور اسی طرح کیا جس طرح کل انہوں نے کیا تھا، پھر عشاء پڑھائی، پھر آپ ﷺ کے پاس اس وقت آئے جب فجر ( کی روشنی ) پھیل گئی، صبح ہو گئی، اور ستارے نمودار ہو گئے، اور انہوں نے ویسے ہی کیا جس طرح کل کیا تھا، تو انہوں نے فجر پڑھائی، پھر کہا: ان دونوں نمازوں کے درمیان میں ہی نماز کے اوقات ہیں ۔
Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Jibrail alaihis salam Nabi e akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass aaye woh aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko namaz ke auqat sikha rahe the, to Jibrail alaihis salam aage barhe, aur Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke pichhe the aur log Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe the, to Jibrail alaihis salam ne zuhr padhai jis waqt suraj dhal gaya, phir Jibrail alaihis salam aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass is waqt aaye jab saya qad ke barabar ho gaya, aur jis tarah unhon ne pehle kiya tha waise hi phir kiya, Jibrail aage barhe, aur Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke pichhe hue, aur log Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe, phir unhon ne asr padhai, phir Jibrail alaihis salam aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass is waqt aaye jab suraj dub gaya, to Jibrail aage barhe, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke pichhe hue, aur log Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe, phir unhon ne maghrib padhai, phir Jibrail alaihis salam aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass is waqt aaye jab shafaq ghaib ho gayi, to woh aage barhe, aur Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke pichhe hue, aur log Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe, to unhon ne isha padhai, phir Jibrail alaihis salam aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass is waqt aaye jab fajr ki po phuti, to woh aage barhe, Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) un ke pichhe aur log Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pichhe, unhon ne fajr padhai, phir Jibrail alaihis salam dusre din aap ke pass is waqt aaye jab aadmi ka saya us ke qad ke barabar ho gaya, chananch unhon ne waise hi kiya jis tarah kal kiya tha, to zuhr padhai, phir woh aap ke pass is waqt aaye jab insan ka saya us ke qad ke do guna ho gaya, unhon ne waise hi kiya jis tarah kal kiya tha, to unhon ne asr padhai, phir aap ke pass is waqt aaye jab suraj dub gaya, to unhon ne waise hi kiya jis tarah kal kiya tha, to unhon ne maghrib padhai, phir hum so gaye, phir uthhe, phir so gaye phir uthhe, phir Jibrail alaihis salam aap ke pass aaye, aur isi tarah kiya jis tarah kal unhon ne kiya tha, phir isha padhai, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pass is waqt aaye jab fajr ( ki roshni ) phail gayi, subah ho gayi, aur sitare numoodar ho gaye, aur unhon ne waise hi kiya jis tarah kal kiya tha, to unhon ne fajr padhai, phir kaha: in donon namazon ke darmiyan mein hi namaz ke auqat hain .
أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ وَاضِحٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُدَامَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ شِهَابٍ - عَنْ بُرْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُعَلِّمُهُ مَوَاقِيتَ الصَّلاَةِ فَتَقَدَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَلْفَهُ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَأَتَاهُ حِينَ كَانَ الظِّلُّ مِثْلَ شَخْصِهِ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعَ فَتَقَدَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَلْفَهُ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ وَجَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَتَقَدَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَلْفَهُ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ فَتَقَدَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَلْفَهُ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ انْشَقَّ الْفَجْرُ فَتَقَدَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَلْفَهُ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الْيَوْمَ الثَّانِيَ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ الرَّجُلِ مِثْلَ شَخْصِهِ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ بِالأَمْسِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ الرَّجُلِ مِثْلَ شَخْصَيْهِ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعَ بِالأَمْسِ فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ وَجَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعَ بِالأَمْسِ فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ فَنِمْنَا ثُمَّ قُمْنَا ثُمَّ نِمْنَا ثُمَّ قُمْنَا فَأَتَاهُ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعَ بِالأَمْسِ فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ حِينَ امْتَدَّ الْفَجْرُ وَأَصْبَحَ وَالنُّجُومُ بَادِيَةٌ مُشْتَبِكَةٌ فَصَنَعَ كَمَا صَنَعَ بِالأَمْسِ فَصَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلاَتَيْنِ وَقْتٌ " .
