Sunan an-Nasa'i 5292
Ibn Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) put on a ring of gold, and he used to wear its stone (Fass) next to his palm. Then the people started to wear rings of gold too. Then the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) threw it away, and the people threw their rings away too. Then he took a ring of silver and he used to seal letters with it, but he did not wear it.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سونے کی ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی اور اس کا نگینہ ہتھیلی کی طرف رکھا، تو لوگوں نے بھی سونے کی انگوٹھیاں بنوائیں، پھر آپ ﷺ نے اپنی انگوٹھی اتار دی تو لوگوں نے بھی اپنی انگوٹھیاں اتار دیں، اور رسول اللہ ﷺ نے چاندی کی انگوٹھی بنوائی، جس سے آپ ( خطوط پر ) مہر لگاتے تھے اور اس کو پہنتے نہیں تھے۔
Abdul-Allah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ke Rasool-Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne sone ki ek angothi banwai aur is ka negina hatheli ki taraf rakha, to logoon ne bhi sone ki angothiyan banwai, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni angothi utar di to logoon ne bhi apni angothiyan utar din, aur Rasool-Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chandi ki angothi banwai, jis se aap ( Khutut par ) mehr lagata they aur is ko pehnte nahin they.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَكَانَ جَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَطَرَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ وَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَكَانَ يَخْتِمُ بِهِ وَلاَ يَلْبَسُهُ .
