Sunan an-Nasa'i 857
It was narrated from Mihjan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) that he was in a gathering with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) when the Adhan was called for prayer. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) got up, then he came back and Mihjan ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) was still sitting there. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him: "What kept you from praying? Are you not a Muslim man?" He said : "Yes, but I had already prayed with my family." The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to him : "When you come you should pray with the people even if you have already prayed."

محجن رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ ایک مجلس میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ تھے کہ مؤذن نے نماز کے لیے اذان دی، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ اٹھے ( اور جا کر نماز پڑھی ) ، پھر ( نماز پڑھ کر ) لوٹے، اور محجن اپنی مجلس ہی میں بیٹھے رہے، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا: تم نے نماز کیوں نہیں پڑھی؟ کیا تم مسلمان نہیں ہو؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا: کیوں نہیں! لیکن میں نے اپنے گھر میں نماز پڑھ لی تھی، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: جب تم آؤ ( اور لوگ نماز پڑھ رہے ہوں ) تو لوگوں کے ساتھ تم بھی نماز پڑھ لیا کرو، اگرچہ تم پڑھ چکے ہو ۔
Mujjan (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se Riwayat hai ke woh aik Majlis mein Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath the ke Muazzin ne namaz ke liye Azaan di, to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) uthhe ( aur ja kar namaz padhi), phir ( namaz padh kar) looty, aur Mujjan apni Majlis hi mein baithe rahe, to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se poocha: Tum ne namaz kyun nahi padhi? Kya tum Musalman nahi ho? Unhon ne jawab diya: Kyun nahi! Lekin main ne apne ghar mein namaz padh li thi, to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaaya: Jab tum ao ( aur log namaz padh rahe hon) to logoon ke sath tum bhi namaz padh liya karo, agarchi tum padh chuke ho.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي الدِّيلِ يُقَالُ لَهُ بُسْرُ بْنُ مِحْجَنٍ عَنْ مِحْجَنٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَذَّنَ بِالصَّلاَةِ - فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَمِحْجَنٌ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ - فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ أَلَسْتَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ " . قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنِّي كُنْتُ قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِي أَهْلِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا جِئْتَ فَصَلِّ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ " .
