Sunan an-Nasa'i 878
Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that when the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) started to pray, he would raise his hands up to his shoulders, and when he bowed and when he raised his head from bowing, he would raise them likewise and say - َِّ ُ لِمَنْ حَمسَمِعَ َّللا ََ بَّنَا وَلَكدَهُ ر ُالْحَمْد [Allah hears those who praise Him, our Lord, to You be praise]. And he did not do that when he prostrated.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ جب نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اپنے دونوں مونڈھوں کے بالمقابل اٹھاتے، اور جب رکوع کرتے، اور رکوع سے سر اٹھاتے تو بھی ان دونوں کو اسی طرح اٹھاتے، اور «سمع اللہ لمن حمده»، «ربنا ولك الحمد» کہتے، اور سجدہ کرتے وقت ایسا نہیں کرتے تھے۔
Abd-ul-laah bin Umar radiya Allahu anhum se riwayat hai ke Rasul-ul-laah sall-allahu alayhi wa sallam jab namaz shuru karte to apne donon haath apne donon mundahoon ke balmukabil uthate, aur jab rukoo karte, aur rukoo se sar uthate to bhi in donon ko isi tarah uthate, aur «Sama'a Allahu liman hamida», «Rabana wa lakal hamd» kahte, aur sajda karte waqt aisa nahin karte the.
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاَةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ رَفَعَهُمَا كَذَلِكَ وَقَالَ " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ " . وَكَانَ لاَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي السُّجُودِ .
