Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: During the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there was a discussion about the sinking of the earth in the East. Some people asked: “Will the land where the Muslims live also sink?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: “Yes! When the majority of them will be involved in wickedness and evil deeds.”

سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: نبی ﷺ کے زمانے میں مشرق کی طرف زمین میں دھنسنے کا ذکر کیا گیا تو بعض لوگوں نے کہا: کیا جس زمین میں مسلمان رہتے ہیں وہ بھی دھنسیں گے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں! جب وہاں اکثریت فسق و فجور کی مرتکب ہو جائے گی۔“
Sayyidna Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain: Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke zamane mein mashriq ki taraf zameen mein dhasne ka zikar kiya gaya to baaz logon ne kaha: kya jis zameen mein musalman rehte hain wo bhi dhasenge? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Haan! Jab wahan aksariyat fisq o fujoor ki murtakib ho jayegi."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: ذُكِرَ فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَسْفٌ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ،"يُخْسَفُ بِأَرْضٍ فِيهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ؟، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، إِذَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِهَا الْخُبُثَ"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، إِلا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ
