Al-Mu'jam al-Saghir 1030
Hassan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and with her were her two sons. She came and asked him (peace and blessings be upon him) a question, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her three dates - it seems, one date for each of the three of them. She gave one date to each of her sons. They ate them. Then, they both looked towards their mother. So she split the third date and divided it in half between the two of them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has shown mercy to this woman because of her mercy towards her sons."

سیدنا حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: ایک عورت رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس حاضر ہوئی، اس کے ساتھ اس کے دو بیٹے بھی تھے، اس نے آکر آپ ﷺ سے سوال کیا تو آپ ﷺ نے اسے تین کھجوریں دیں، گویا ان تینوں کے لیے ایک ایک کھجور تھی، اس نے اپنے بیٹوں کو ایک ایک کھجور دی۔ انہوں نے وہ کھا لیں، پھر وہ دونوں اپنی ماں کی طرف دیکھنے لگے تو اس نے تیسری کھجور پھاڑ کر دونوں میں نصف نصف بانٹ دی، تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اپنے بیٹوں پر رحم کرنے کی وجہ سے اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس عورت پر بھی رحم کر دیا۔“
Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kahte hain: Ek aurat Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas hazir hui, iske sath iske do bete bhi the, isne aakar aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se sawal kiya to aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ise teen khajoorain deen, goya in teeno ke liye ek ek khajoor thi, isne apne beton ko ek ek khajoor di. Unhon ne woh kha liye, phir woh dono apni maa ki taraf dekhne lage to isne teesri khajoor phaar kar dono mein nisf nisf baant di, to Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Apne beton par reham karne ki wajah se Allah Ta'ala ne is aurat par bhi reham kar diya.".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، يَزْدَادَ، التُّوزِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَسَدِيُّ كُوَيْنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَدِيجُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ:" جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهَا ابْنَاهَا، فَسَأَلَتْهُ، فَأَعْطَاهَا ثَلاثَ تَمَرَاتٍ، لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ تَمْرَةٌ، فَأَعْطَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ تَمْرَةً، فَأَكَلاهَا، ثُمَّ نَظَرَا إِلَى أُمِّهِمَا، فَشَقَّتِ التَّمْرَةَ نِصْفَيْنِ، وَأَعْطَتْ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا نِصْفَ تَمْرَةٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَدْ رَحِمَهَا اللَّهُ بَرَحْمَتِهَا ابْنَيْهَا"، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، إِلا خَدِيجٌ، وَلا يُرْوَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
