It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is for men to say Subhan Allah and for women to clap (i.e. to remind the Imam if he forgets).
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ارشاد ہے۔ مردوں کے لیے تسبیح کہنا ہے اور عورتوں کے لیے تالی بجانا ہے (یعنی امام کے بھولنے پر یاد دہانی کے لئے)
Hazrat Abu Huraira se riwayat hai keh Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka irshad hai. Mardon ke liye tasbeeh kehna hai aur auraton ke liye taali bajana hai (yani imam ke bhulne par yaad dihani ke liye)
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Hurairah that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) once led the people in prayer. So when you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up to say the takbeer, he said: If Satan makes me forget something in prayer, then the men should say tasbeeh and the women should clap their hands.
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک دن لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی ۔ پس جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تکبیر کہنے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو فرمایا : اگر شیطان مجھے نماز میں سے کچھ بھلا دے تو مردوں کے لیے تسبیح اور عورتوں کے لیے تالی بجانا ہے۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek din logon ko namaz parhai. Pas jab Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) takbeer kehne ke liye kharay huye to farmaya: Agar shaitan mujhe namaz mein se kuchh bhula de to mardon ke liye tasbeeh aur auraton ke liye taali bajana hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Sahal bin Saad that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that using prayer beads for Dhikr is for men, and clapping is for women.
حضرت سہل بن سعد سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا ارشاد ہے کہ مردوں کے لیے تسبیح کہنا اور عورتوں کے لیے تالی بجانا ہے۔
Hazrat Sahl bin Saad se riwayat hai ke Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka irshad hai ke mardon ke liye tasbeeh kehna aur auraton ke liye taali bajana hai.
Hazrat Yazid said that I asked permission to enter (the house) from Abdur Rahman bin Abi Layla and he was praying. He gestured to his slave for the rosary. Then he broke his fast for me.
حضرت یزید فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبد الرحمن بن ابی لیلیٰ سے (گھر میں داخلے کی) اجازت طلب کی اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے انھوں نے غلام کو تسبیح کہی۔ پس اس نے میرے لیے روزہ کھولا۔
Hazrat Yazid farmate hain keh maine Abdur Rehman bin Abi Laila se ijazat talab ki aur woh namaz parh rahe thay unhon ne ghulam ko tasbeeh kahi pas us ne mere liye roza khola.
Hazrat Hassan says that a man asked Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah for permission (to enter). So he (Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah) was reciting tasbeeh. That man came in and sat down until he (Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah) finished his prayer.
And it has been mentioned in the saying of (Imam) Abu Hanifa that: He used to say that the person praying will not do this. And he considered it undesirable.
حضرت حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ سے (داخلے کی) اجازت طلب کی ۔ تو انھوں نے تسبیح پڑھی۔ وہ آدمی اندر آ کر بیٹھ گیا یہاں تک کہ وہ نماز سے فارغ ہوگئے۔
اور (امام) ابوحنیفہ کا قول یہ ذکر کیا گیا ہے کہ : وہ فرمایا کرتے تھے ۔ کہ نمازی ایسا نہیں کرے گا۔ اور وہ اس کو مکروہ خیال کرتے تھے۔
