Hazrat Abu Umair bin Anas narrates that my Ansar uncle told me that once we did not see the moon of Shawwal at night and we fasted the next day. In the last part of the day, some horsemen came and testified before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that they had seen the moon the previous day. He ordered the people to break the fast and said that tomorrow the people should come to Eidgah for Eid prayers.
حضرت ابو عمیر بن انس کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے میرے ایک انصاری چچا نے بیان کیا کہ ایک مرتبہ شوال کا چاند رات کو ہمیں نظر نہ آیا اور ہم نے اگلے دن روزہ رکھ لیا۔ دن کے آخری حصے میں کچھ گھڑ سوار آئے اور انھوں نے حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے سامنے گواہی دی کہ ہم نے گزشتہ کل چاند دیکھ لیا تھا۔ آپ نے لوگوں کو روزہ توڑنے کا حکم دیا اور فرمایا کہ آئندہ کل لوگ عید کی نماز کے لیے عید گاہ آئیں۔
Hazrat Abu Umair bin Anas kehte hain ke mujh se mere ek Ansaari chacha ne bayan kiya ke ek martaba Shawwal ka chand raat ko humein nazar na aaya aur hum ne agle din roza rakh liya. Din ke aakhri hisse mein kuch ghor sawar aaye aur unhon ne Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saamne gawahi di ke hum ne guzishta kal chand dekh liya tha. Aap ne logon ko roza todne ka hukum diya aur farmaya ke aayinda kal log Eid ki namaz ke liye Eid gah aayein.
The father of Hazrat Abu Ya'foor narrates that Hazrat Mugheerah bin Shubah was in Kufa. The moon of Ramadan was sighted there. He did not deliver the Eid sermon that day. He came the next day and delivered the sermon to the people while sitting on a camel and went back.
حضرت ابو یعفور کے والد فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہ کوفہ میں تھے۔ وہاں رمضان کا چاند نظر آیا۔ وہ اس دن عید کے لیے تشریف نہیں لائے۔ اگلے دن آئے اور لوگوں کو اونٹ پر خطبہ دیا اور واپس تشریف لے گئے۔
Hazrat Abu Yafoor ke walid farmate hain ke Hazrat Mugheera bin Shaaba Kufa mein thay. Wahan Ramazan ka chand nazar aaya. Woh us din Eid ke liye tashreef nahi laaye. Aglay din aaye aur logon ko unt par khutba diya aur wapis tashreef le gaye.
Hazrat Zuhri narrates that witnesses came to Hazrat Ibn Umar stating that they had sighted the moon of Eid. By this time, a significant part of the day had passed, so Hazrat Ibn Umar declared that the Eid prayer would be offered the next day.
حضرت زہری فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابن عمر کے پاس گواہی دی گئی کہ لوگوں نے عیدکا چاند دیکھ لیا ہے۔ اس وقت دن کا کافی حصہ گذر چکا تھا اس لیے حضرت ابن عمر نے فرمایا کہ کل عید کی نماز پڑھی جائے گی۔
