Hazrat Anas narrates that sometimes the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would fast continuously for so many days in a month that we used to think that he would never break his fast, and sometimes he would abandon fasting for so many days that we used to think that he would never fast.
حضرت انس فرماتے ہیں کہ بعض اوقات نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کسی مہینے میں اس طرح مسلسل روزہ رکھتے کہ ہم محسوس کرتے کہ آپ روزہ نہیں چھوڑیں گے اور کیھی آپ اس طرح روزہ رکھنا چھوڑتے کہ ہمیں محسوس ہوتا کہ آپ روزہ نہیں رکھیں گے۔
Hazrat Anas farmate hain keh baaz auqaat Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) kisi mahine mein is tarah musalsal roza rakhte keh hum mehsoos karte keh aap roza nahi chhoren ge aur kai baar aap is tarah roza rakhna chhor dete keh humain mehsoos hota keh aap roza nahi rakhenge.
Hazrat Usman bin Hakim narrates that I asked Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair about the fasts of Rajab, so you said that I heard Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas saying that if the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to fast continuously like this, we would have felt that you would not break the fast and sometimes you would break the fast in such a way that we would feel that you do not fast.
حضرت عثمان بن حکیم فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت سعید بن جبیر سے رجب کے روزوں کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس طرح مسلسل روزہ رکھتے تو ہم محسوس کرتے کہ آپ روزہ نہیں چھوڑیں گے اور کبھی آپ اس طرح روزے چھوڑتے کہ ہمیں محسوس ہوتا کہ آپ روزہ نہیں رکھیں گے۔

According to my knowledge, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fast for a whole month except for Ramadan.
حضرت عائشہ فرماتی ہیں کہ میرے علم کے مطابق نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سوائے رمضان کے اور کسی مہینے میں سارا مہینہ روزے نہیں رکھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha farmati hain ke mere ilm ke mutabiq Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne siwaye Ramzan ke aur kisi mahine mein sara mahina roze nahi rakhe.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaqiq narrates that I asked Hazrat Aisha about the fasts of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and you said that according to my knowledge, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not fast the whole month except for Ramadan.
حضرت عبداللہ بن شقیق فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ سے نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے روزوں کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ میرے علم کے مطابق نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سوائے رمضان کے اور کسی مہینے میں سارا مہینہ روزے نہیں رکھے۔
