Hazrat Abu Sayyarah narrates that I submitted to the presence of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that I have honey bees. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Pay ushr (tithe) on it. I said: O Messenger of Allah, you may collect it from me. So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) collected it.
حضرت ابو سیارۃ ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضور اقدس (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں عرض کیا کہ میرے پاس شہد کی مکھیاں ہیں (شہید ہے) آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : اس پر عشر ادا کرو۔ میں نے عرض کی کہ اے اللہ کے رسول تو وہ آپ مجھ سے وصول فرما لیں۔ تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے وصول فرما لیا۔
Hazrat Abu Sayarah irshad farmate hain keh maine Huzoor Aqdas (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki khidmat mein arz kiya keh mere paas shehad ki makkhiyan hain (shahid hai) Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Is par ushr ada karo. Maine arz ki keh aye Allah ke Rasool to woh aap mujhse wasool farma lein. To aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne wasool farma liya.
It is narrated on the authority of 'Amr bin Shu'aib that the governor of Ta'if wrote a letter to 'Umar bin Khattab that the people of honey have stopped us from what they used to give to those before us, so 'Umar wrote to him that if they pay you as much as they used to pay the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then take it from them, otherwise do not take it. The narrator says that 'Amr bin Shu'aib thought that they used to give one out of every ten water skins.
حضرت عمرو بن شعیب سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب کو امیر طائف نے خط لکھا کہ شہد والوں نے ہم سے روک لیا ہے جو وہ ہم سے پہلے والوں کو دیا کرتے تھے، حضرت عمر نے ان کو لکھا کہ اگر تو وہ اتنا ہی ادا کریں جتنا رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ادا کرتے تھے تو ان سے وصول کرلو وگرنہ نہ وصول کرو، راوی فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عمروبن شعیب کا گمان یہ تھا کہ وہ ہر دس مشکیزوں پہ ایک مشکیزہ دیا کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib se marvi hai ki Hazrat Umar bin Khattab ko ameer Taif ne khat likha ki shehad walon ne hum se rok liya hai jo woh hum se pehle walon ko diya karte thay, Hazrat Umar ne un ko likha ki agar tum woh utna hi ada karen jitna Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko ada karte thay to un se wasool karlo warna na wasool karo, ravi farmate hain ki Hazrat Amr bin Shuaib ka gumaan yeh tha ki woh har das mashkizon pe ek mashkiza diya karte thay.
Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas went to his people and said: "There is Zakat in honey, and there is no good in the wealth whose Zakat has not been paid." The narrator says that the people asked: "How much is it?" He said: "One-tenth." Then he collected one-tenth from them and took it to Hazrat Umar and told him about it. Hazrat Umar took the collected one-tenth from him and kept it in the Zakat (collected from the Muslims).
حضرت سعد بن ابو ذباب اپنی قوم کے پاس تشریف لائے اور ان سے فرمایا : شہد میں زکوۃ ہے اور اس مال میں کوئی خیر نہیں جس کی زکوۃ نہ ادا کی گئی ہو۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ قوم والوں نے عرض کیا کہ کتنا ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا عشر۔ پھر آپ نے ان سے عشر وصول فرمایا اور وہ لے کر حضرت عمر کی خدمت میں پہنچے اور ان کو اس کے بارے میں بتایا، حضرت عمر نے وہ وصول شدہ عشر ان سے لے کر مسلمانوں کے زکوۃ (میں جمع شدہ میں) رکھ لیا۔
Hazrat Saad bin Abu Zobab apni qaum k pass tashreef laye aur un se farmaya: Shahad mein zakat hai aur is mal mein koi khair nahi jis ki zakat na ada ki gai ho. Rawi kahte hain ki qaum walon ne arz kiya ki kitna hai? Aap ne farmaya ushr. Phir aap ne un se ushr wasool farmaya aur wo le kar Hazrat Umar ki khidmat mein pahunche aur un ko is k bare mein bataya, Hazrat Umar ne wo wasool shuda ushr un se le kar musalmanon ki zakat (mein jama shuda mein) rakh liya.
