كِتَابُ الزَّكَاةِ
Regarding charity being taken from one town to another, who disliked it
فِي الصَّدَقَةِ يَخْرُجُ بِهَا مِنْ بَلَدٍ إِلَى بَلَدٍ مَنْ كَرِهَهُ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 10311
Hazrat Zahak (may Allah be pleased with him) advised that the Zakat collected in a city should be distributed among the poor and needy of that city. If there are no deserving people in that city, then it should be taken to a nearby city.
حضرت ضحاک ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ جس شہر میں آپ ہیں زکوۃ کو اسی شہر میں رکھیں۔ اور اگر اس شہر میں فقراء (اور مستحقین ) نہ ہوں تو جو شہر اس کے قریب ہے وہاں لے جاؤ۔
Hazrat Dahak irshad farmate hain keh jis shehar mein aap hain zakat ko usi shehar mein rakhen. Aur agar us shehar mein fuqra (aur mustahiqeen) na hon to jo shehar uske qareeb hai wahan le jaon.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي لَيْثٍ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ ، قَالَ : « ضَعِ الزَّكَاةَ فِي الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أَنْتَ فِيهَا ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهَا فَقِيرٌ فَإِلَى الَّتِي تَلِيهَا »
