Book of Oaths, Vows, and Expiations
١١-
كِتَابُ الْأَيْمَانِ وَالنُّذُورِ وَالْكَفَّارَاتِ
Regarding a man swearing by something other than Allah or by his father
الرَّجُلُ يَحْلِفُ بِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ أَوْ بِأَبِيهِ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 12288
Hazrat Maimun said that Allah Almighty has distributed among His creation whatever He willed, and it is not permissible for anyone to swear by other than Allah, and whoever swears by Allah should not swear a false oath.
حضرت میمون فرماتے ہیں کہ بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنی مخلوق میں جو چاہا تقسیم کیا اور کسی شخص کے لیے جائز نہیں ہے کہ وہ غیر اللہ کی قسم اٹھائے، اور جو اللہ کی قسم اٹھائے وہ جھوٹی قسم نہ اٹھائے۔
Hazrat Maimun farmate hain ke beshak Allah Taala ne apni makhlooq mein jo chaha taqseem kiya aur kisi shakhs ke liye jaiz nahi hai ke woh ghair Allah ki qasam uthaye, aur jo Allah ki qasam uthaye woh jhooti qasam na uthaye.
كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ ، عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : « إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُقْسِمُ بِمَا شَاءَ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ ، وَلَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يُقْسِمَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ، وَمَنْ أَقْسَمَ فَلَا يَكْذِبُ »
