Concerning the Prophet's (PBUH) sermon, on which day he gave it

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 13972
It is narrated from Hazrat Zuhri that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver the sermon on the day of Eid al-Adha. Later, when the women became busy, he postponed the sermon to the next day.
حضرت زہری سے مروی ہے کہ حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) یوم نحر میں خطبہ دیا کرتے تھے۔ بعد میں امراء کو مشغولیت درپیش ہوئی تو انھوں نے خطبہ کو اگلے دن تک موخر کردیا۔
Hazrat Zahri se marvi hai ki Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Yaum e Nahar mein khutba diya karte thay. Baad mein umara ko mashghuliyat darpesh hui to unhon ne khutba ko agle din tak moakhir kar diya.
أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، « أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ، فَتَغَلَّبَ الْأُمَرَاءُ فَأَخَّرُوهُ إِلَى الْغَدِ »
