كِتَابُ الْحَجِّ

What they said about the reward of Hajj

‌مَا قَالُوا فِي ثَوَابِ الْحَجِّ

Regarding the reward of circumambulation

‌فِي ثَوَابِ الطَّوَافِ

Regarding hastening to enter Ihram, who permitted entering Ihram from a distant place

‌فِي تَعْجِيلِ الْإِحْرَامِ مَنْ رَخَّصَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ مِنَ الْمَوْضِعِ الْبَعِيدِ

Who disliked hastening to enter Ihram

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ تَعْجِيلَ الْإِحْرَامِ

Regarding a man who adorns or adorns or marks while intending Ihram

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُقَلِّدُ، أَوْ يُجلِلُ أَوْ يُشْعِرُ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الْإِحْرَامَ

Regarding a man sending his sacrificial animal and staying, is Ihram obligatory upon him or not

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَبْعَثُ بِهَدْيِهِ وَيُقِيمُ هَلْ يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْإِحْرَامُ أَمْ لَا

Who abstained from what the Muhrim abstains from

‌مَنْ كَانَ يُمْسِكُ عَمَّا يُمْسِكُ الْمُحْرِمُ

Regarding Umrah, who said: Every month, and who said: Whenever you want

‌فِي الْعُمْرَةِ مَنْ قَالَ: فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ، وَمَنْ قَالَ: مَتَى مَا شِئْتَ

Regarding a man talking to his wife and ejaculating

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُكَلِّمُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَيُمْذِي

Regarding a man and a woman who vow to perform Hajj, and have not performed Hajj

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ يَجْعَلُ عَلَيْهِمَا نَذْرًا أَنْ يَحُجَّ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ حَجَّ

Who preferred entering Ihram after prayer

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلَاةِ

Regarding the Muhrim cutting his nails, and treating a wound

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَقُصُّ ظُفُرَهُ، وَيُنْبِطُ الْجُرْحَ

Regarding the Muhrim using a tooth-stick

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَسْتَاكُ

Regarding the Muhrim extracting a tooth

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَقْلَعُ الضِّرْسَ

What is easy from the sacrificial animal

‌مَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ

Who said it suffices for the Mutamatti to share in a blood sacrifice and who disliked it

‌مَنْ قَالَ: يُجْزِئُ الْمُتَمَتِّعَ أَنْ يُشَارِكَ فِي دَمٍ وَمَنْ كَرِهَهُ

Regarding a man combining Hajj and Umrah, then being prevented, what is upon him for the following year

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ، فَيَحْصُرُ مَا عَلَيْهِ فِي قَابِلٍ

What is obligatory upon him from the sacrificial animal if he combines them and is prevented

‌مَا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْهَدْيِ إِذَا جَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا فَأُحْصِرَ

Regarding a man who reaches the evening on the second day of Tashreeq, should he depart or not

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُدْرِكُهُ الْمَسَاءُ فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّانِي مِنْ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ فَيَنْفِرُ أَمْ لَا

Regarding talking, who disliked it during circumambulation

‌فِي الْكَلَامِ مَنْ كَرِهَهُ فِي الطَّوَافِ

Who permitted talking during circumambulation

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الْكَلَامِ فِي الطَّوَافِ

Regarding the Muhrim kissing his wife

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يُقَبِّلُ امْرَأَتَهُ

Regarding the Muhrim if he squeezes, touches, or engages in foreplay

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ إِذَا غَمَزَ أَوْ لَمَسَ أَوْ بَاشَرَ

Regarding the Muhrim looking in a mirror, who permitted it

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْمِرْآةِ مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ

Who disliked the Muhrim looking in a mirror

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ لِلْمُحْرِمِ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ فِي الْمِرْآةِ

Regarding the Muhrim taking a bath or washing his head

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَغْتَسِلُ أَوْ يَغْسِلُ رَأْسَهُ

Regarding the Muhrim wearing colored garments

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَلْبَسُ الْمُوَرَّدَ

Who disliked dyed garments for the Muhrim

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ الْمَصْبُوغَ لِلْمُحْرِمِ

Who permitted dyed garments for the Muhrimah

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الْمُعَصْفَرِ لِلْمُحْرِمَةِ

Who permitted dyed garments for the Muhrim

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الْمُعَصْفَرِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ

Regarding the Muhrimah wearing perfume

‌فِي الْمُمَشَّقَةِ لِلْمُحْرِمَةِ

Regarding a man performing Hajj, does he start with Mecca or Medina

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَحُجُّ يَبْدَأُ بِمَكَّةَ أَوْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ

Regarding decorating the sheep

‌فِي تَقْلِيدِ الْغَنَمِ

Regarding the Muhrim pouring water over his head from impurity, but not massaging or scratching it

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ إِذَا صَبَّ الْمَاءَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ، فَلَا يُدَلِّكُهُ، وَلَا يَحُكُّهُ

Regarding the Muhrimah, how much hair she should cut

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمَةِ كَمْ تَأْخُذُ مِنْ شَعْرِهَا

Regarding how the Muhrim should treat illnesses and what has been mentioned about it

‌فِيمَا يَتَدَاوَى الْمُحْرِمُ وَمَا ذُكِرَ فِيهِ

Regarding a man intending Umrah while in Mecca, from where he should perform it

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُرِيدُ الْعُمْرَةَ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْ أَيْنَ يَعْتَمِرُ

Regarding the Muhrimah performing ramal or not

‌فِي الْمَرْأَةِ الْمُحْرِمَةِ تَرْمُلُ أَمْ لَا

Regarding the Muhrim getting married, who permitted it

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يُزَوَّجُ مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي ذَلِكَ

Who disliked the Muhrim getting married

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ الْمُحْرِمُ

Regarding the Mutamatti intending to fast, when he should fast

‌فِي الْمُتَمَتِّعِ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ مَتَى يَصُومُ

Regarding one who fears he will not complete the fast in Mecca

‌فِيمَنْ خَشِيَ أَنْ لَا يُدْرِكَ الصَّوْمَ بِمَكَّةَ

Regarding the Mutamatti if he misses the fast

‌فِي الْمُتَمَتِّعِ إِذَا فَاتَهُ الصَّوْمُ

Who permitted the fast and did not require a sacrifice

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الصَّوْمِ وَلَمْ يَرَ عَلَيْهِ هَدْيًا

Regarding the makeup of the seven fasts, whether separated or continuous

‌فِي قَضَاءِ السَّبْعَةِ الْفَرْقُ أَوِ الْوَصْلُ

Who said he should fast when he returns to his family

‌مَنْ قَالَ يَصُومُ إِذَا رَجَعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ

Who said he is a Mutamatti even if he returns

‌مَنْ قَالَ: هُوَ مُتَمَتِّعٌ وَإِنْ رَجَعَ

Regarding Umrah after Hajj

‌فِي الْعُمْرَةِ بَعْدَ الْحَجِّ

Who disliked performing Umrah after Hajj

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يَعْتَمِرَ بَعْدَ الْحَجِّ

Regarding Umrah in Ramadan and what has been mentioned about it

‌فِي عُمْرَةِ رَمَضَانَ وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهَا

Umrah during the months of Hajj

‌الْعُمْرَةُ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ

Who permitted Umrah during the months of Hajj

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعُمْرَةِ فِي أَشْهُرِ الْحَجِّ

Who visited on the Day of Sacrifice

‌مَنْ زَارَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ

Who saw no harm in delaying the visit

‌مَنْ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بِتَأْخِيرِ الزِّيَارَةِ بَأْسًا

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ إِذَا أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ فَأُحْصِرَ

Regarding a man having intercourse with his wife while in Ihram

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُوَاقِعُ أَهْلَهُ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ

How many sacrifices are upon them, one or two

‌كَمْ عَلَيْهِمَا هَدْيًا وَاحِدًا أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ

Regarding if he has intercourse while in Ihram

‌فِيهِ إِذَا وَاقَعَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ

Regarding the yellow sweet for the Muhrim

‌فِي الْخُشْكِنَانْجِ الْأَصْفَرِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ

Who disliked the yellow sweet for the Muhrim

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ الْخُشْكِنَانْجَ الْأَصْفَرَ لِلْمُحْرِمِ

Regarding the yellow salt for the Muhrim

‌فِي الْمِلْحِ الْأَصْفَرِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ

Regarding a garment dyed with wars and saffron, who said it is permissible to wash it and wear it in Ihram

‌فِي الثَّوْبِ الْمَصْبُوغِ بِالْوَرْسِ وَالزَّعْفَرَانِ مَنْ قَالَ: لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهُ وَيُحْرِمَ فِيهِ

Regarding ticks and lice crawling on the Muhrim

‌فِي الْقُرَادِ وَالْقَمْلَةِ تَدِبُّ عَلَى الْمُحْرِمِ

Regarding circumambulating on a riding animal, who permitted it

‌فِي الطَّوَافِ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِيهِ

Regarding the Sa’i between Safa and Marwa

‌فِي السَّعْيِ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ

Who used to look at the Black Stone and say Takbir when reaching it

‌مَنْ كَانَ إِذَا حَاذَى بِالْحَجَرِ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَكَبَّرَ

What they said about the crowding at the Black Stone

‌مَا قَالُوا فِي الزِّحَامِ عَلَى الْحَجَرِ

Entering the Kaaba, who permitted it

‌دُخُولُ الْبَيْتِ مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِيهِ

Regarding a woman menstruating before departing

‌فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تَحِيضُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْفِرَ

Regarding charity, manumission, and Hajj

‌فِي الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْعِتْقِ وَالْحَجِّ

Regarding the voluntary sacrifice, whether it can be eaten from or not

‌فِي هَدْيِ التَّطَوُّعِ يُؤْكَلُ مِنْهُ أَمْ لَا

Regarding the expiation sacrifice and compensation for hunting

‌فِي هَدْيِ الْكَفَّارَةِ وَجَزَاءِ الصَّيْدِ

Regarding marking the animal, whether it is obligatory or not

‌فِي الْإِشْعَارِ أَوَاجِبٌ هُوَ أَمْ لَا

Regarding a man hunting the birds of Mecca

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصِيبُ الطَّيْرَ مِنْ حَمَامِ مَكَّةَ

Regarding the verse: 'So no obscenity, no wickedness' (Al-Baqarah: 197)

‌فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ﴾ [

Regarding circumambulating the Kaaba after Asr and after Fajr, who used to see it permissible to pray

‌فِي الطَّوَافِ بِالْبَيْتِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَبَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ مَنْ كَانَ يَرَى أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ

Who disliked praying after circumambulating the Kaaba after Asr and Fajr until sunset or sunrise

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ، وَبَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ، أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ أَوْ تَطْلُعَ

Regarding the Muhrim killing ants or not

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَقْتُلُ النَّمْلَ أَمْ لَا

Regarding the Muhrim killing mosquitoes

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَقْتُلُ الْبَعُوضَ

Regarding the Muhrim applying kohl with aloe and treating his eyes with it

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَكْتَحِلُ بِالصَّبِرِ، وَيُدَاوِي بِهِ عَيْنَهُ

Regarding the Muhrim tying his head

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَعْصِبُ رَأْسَهُ

Regarding where the expiation for the Muhrim is obligatory

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ تَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْكَفَّارَةُ أَيْنَ تَكُونُ

Regarding the Muhrim forcing his wife, what is upon him

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَسْتَكْرِهُ امْرَأَتَهُ مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ

Regarding residing in Mecca

‌فِي الْجِوَارِ بِمَكَّةَ

Regarding the Muhrim trimming the mustache of a lawful person or taking from his hair

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَقُصُّ مِنْ شَارِبِ الْحَلَالِ أَوْ يَأْخُذُ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ

‌فِي الشُّرْبِ فِي نَبِيذِ السِّقَايَةِ

Regarding drinking from Zamzam water

‌فِي الشُّرْبِ مِنْ مَاءِ زَمْزَمَ

Regarding Umrah in Rajab, who used to love it and perform it

‌فِي عُمْرَةِ رَجَبٍ مَنْ كَانَ يُحِبُّهَا وَيَعْتَمِرُ فِيهَا

Regarding staying at Al-Abtah, who used to stay there

‌فِي التَّحْصِيبِ مَنْ كَانَ يُحَصِّبُ، وَالتَّحْصِيبُ هُوَ نُزُولُ الْأَبْطَحِ

Who used to not stay at Al-Abtah

‌مَنْ كَانَ لَا يُحَصِّبُ

Regarding a man circumambulating the Kaaba, from which gate he should go out to Safa

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ، مِنْ أَيِّ بَابٍ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الصَّفَا

Regarding a man doubting his circumambulation or stoning, and what he should do

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَشُكُّ فِي الطَّوَافِ، وَفِي رَمْيِ الْجِمَارِ وَمَا يَصْنَعُ

Regarding the verse: 'Then the penalty is an equivalent of what he has killed of the livestock' (Al-Ma'idah: 95)

‌فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿فَجَزَاءٌ مِثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ﴾ [

Regarding trading during Hajj

‌فِي التِّجَارَةِ فِي الْحَجِّ

Regarding a man performing Hajj on behalf of another man, and he has never performed Hajj himself

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَحُجُّ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ، وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ قَطُّ

Regarding the Qarin (one performing both Hajj and Umrah together) having intercourse, what is upon him

‌فِي الْقَارِنِ إِذَا وَاقَعَ مَا عَلَيْهِ

Regarding the Muhrim having intercourse repeatedly, what is upon him

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يُوَاقِعُ مَرَّةً بَعْدَ مَرَّةٍ مَا عَلَيْهِ

Regarding fasting on the Day of Arafah in Mecca

‌فِي صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِمَكَّةَ

Who used to break the fast at Arafah before departing

‌مَنْ كَانَ يُفْطِرُ بِعَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ

Who used to say: If the Imam departs from Arafah, there is no harm in standing until the crowd goes away

‌مَنْ كَانَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا دَفَعَ الْإِمَامُ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ، فَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَقِفَ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ الزِّحَامُ

Regarding standing at Jamrat al-Aqabah

‌فِي الْوُقُوفِ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ

Regarding standing at the Jamarat on the Day of Nafr

‌فِي الْوُقُوفِ عِنْدَ الْجِمَارِ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ

Regarding where to throw at Jamrat al-Aqabah

‌فِي جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ أَيْنَ تُرْمَى

Who permitted throwing from above it

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِيهَا أَنْ يَرْمِيَهَا مِنْ فَوْقِهَا

What they said about where to throw from the tree

‌مَا قَالُوا فِي أَيِّ مَوْضِعٍ يَرْمِي مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ

Regarding a woman circumambulating the Kaaba three times, then menstruating

‌فِي الْمَرْأَةِ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ثَلَاثَ أَطْوَافٍ، ثُمَّ تَحِيضُ

Regarding the Muhrim plucking his armpits and trimming his nails, what is upon him

‌فِي الْمُحْرِمِ يَنْتِفُ إِبِطَهُ، وَيُقَلِّمُ أَظْفَارَهُ مَا عَلَيْهِ

Regarding a man whose family is between him and the time, from where he should declare intention

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ أَهْلُهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْوَقْتِ، مِنْ أَيْنَ يُهِلُّ

Regarding a man forgetting to throw one Jamrah or two, or leaving one or two pebbles

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَنْسَى أَنْ يَرْمِيَ جَمْرَةً، أَوْ جَمْرَتَيْنِ، أَوْ يَتْرُكَ حَصَاةً أَوْ حَصَاتَيْنِ

Regarding a man throwing six or five pebbles

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَرْمِي بِسِتِّ حَصَيَاتٍ أَوْ خَمْسًا

Regarding a man throwing with a pebble that has already been thrown with

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَرْمِي بِالْحَصَاةِ الَّتِي قَدْ رَمَى بِهَا

Regarding gathering pebbles from Jam'

‌فِي تَزَوُّدِ الْحَصَى مِنْ جَمْعٍ

Regarding the Talbiyah, how it is

‌فِي التَّلْبِيَةِ كَيْفَ هِيَ

Who permitted perfume at the time of Ihram

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ فِي الطِّيبِ عِنْدَ الْإِحْرَامِ

Regarding a man performing Hajj with another man who provides for his expenses

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَحُجُّ مَعَ الرَّجُلِ فَيَكْفِيهِ نَفَقَتَهُ

Who disliked perfume at the time of Ihram

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ الطِّيبَ عِنْدَ الْإِحْرَامِ

Regarding a man who gets the Kaaba's perfume on him, what he should do with it

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصِيبُهُ طِيبُ الْكَعْبَةِ مَا يَصْنَعُ بِهِ

Who disliked entering Mecca without Ihram

‌مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ مَكَّةَ بِغَيْرِ إِحْرَامٍ

Who permitted entering Mecca without Ihram

‌مَنْ رَخَّصَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ مَكَّةَ بِغَيْرِ إِحْرَامٍ

Regarding a man who circumambulates the Kaaba, should he pray more than two rak'ahs or not

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أُسْبُوعًا، يُصَلِّي أَكْثَرَ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ أَمْ لَا

Regarding whether a man must perform Hajj with his wife or not

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَحُجَّ بِامْرَأَتِهِ أَمْ لَا

What they said about from where to start the Sa'i between Safa and Marwa

‌مَا قَالُوا مِنْ أَيْنَ يُقَامُ مِنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ

Regarding a man turning to look at the Kaaba when leaving, who disliked it

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ، إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ مَنْ كَرِهَ

Regarding a man saying he is in Ihram for Hajj, when Hajj becomes obligatory upon him

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَقُولُ: هُوَ مُحْرِمٌ بِحَجَّةٍ مَتَى يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْحَجُّ

Regarding a man performing Hajj on behalf of another man, should he mention him in the Talbiyah or not

‌فِي الرَّجُلِ يَحُجُّ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُسَمِّيهِ فِي التَّلْبِيَةِ أَمْ لَا

Regarding what to do if one forgets to mention the person he is performing Hajj for

‌فِيهِ إِذَا نَسِيَ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَهُ

Regarding whether there is Raml in Umrah or not

‌فِي الْعُمْرَةِ تَرْمُلُ فِيهَا أَمْ لَا

Regarding a Meccan shortening the prayer during Hajj or not

‌فِي الْمَكِّيِّ يَقْصُرُ الصَّلَاةَ فِي الْحَجِّ أَمْ لَا

‌فِي الْإِحْصَارِ فِي الْحَجِّ مَا يَكُونُ

How to hobble the sacrificial animals

‌كَيْفَ يُعْقَلُ الْبُدْنُ
