كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
In the case of a deceased woman's husband, who said: She observes her waiting period in her house.
فِي الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا، مَنْ قَالَ: تَعْتَدُّ فِي بَيْتِهَا

Hazrat Abraham (R.A) narrates that a woman's husband passed away and she was observing the waiting period (Iddah). During this time, the woman's father fell ill. She sent a message to Hazrat Umm Salamah (R.A) inquiring if she could go and take care of her father. Hazrat Umm Salamah (R.A) replied that she could go if she stayed within the confines of her own home during one part of the day.
حضرت ابراہیم (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک عورت کا خاوند فوت ہوگیا تھا اور وہ عدت میں تھی۔ اس دوران اس عورت کے والد بیمار ہوگئے۔ اس نے حضرت ام سلمہ (رض) کو پیغام بھیج کر سوال کیا کہ کیا وہ اپنے والد کی تیمارداری کے لیے جاسکتی ہے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ اگر دن کے ایک کنارے میں اپنے گھر میں رہو تو جاسکتی ہو۔
Hazrat Ibrahim (Raz) farmate hain keh aik aurat ka khaavand foot hogaya tha aur wo iddat mein thi. Iss dauran iss aurat ke walid bimar hogaye. Uss ne Hazrat Umm e Salma (Raz) ko paigham bhej kar sawal kiya keh kya wo apne walid ki timaardari ke liye ja sakti hai? Unhon ne farmaya keh agar din ke aik kinare mein apne ghar mein raho to ja sakti ho.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : نا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ : كَانَتِ امْرَأَةٌ تَعْتَدُّ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا ، فَاشْتَكَى أَبُوهَا ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ تَسْأَلُهَا : تَأْتِي أَبَاهَا تُمَرِّضُهُ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : « إِذَا كُنْتُ أَحَدَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ فِي بَيْتِكِ »
