كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
What the People of the Book are sworn by
فِيمَا يُسْتَحْلَفُ بِهِ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ

Hazrat Ata was asked whether an oath should be taken from a Jew or a Christian by the Torah and the Gospel. He said that they should swear by Allah because the Torah and the Gospel are Allah's books.
حضرت عطاء سے سوال کیا گیا کہ کیا یہودی اور نصرانی سے توراۃ اور انجیل کی قسم لی جائے گی، انھوں نے فرمایا کہ وہ اللہ کی قسم کھائیں گے کیونکہ توراۃ اور انجیل اللہ کی کتابیں ہیں۔
Hazrat Ata se sawal kiya gaya ke kya yehudi aur nasrani se torah aur injeel ki qasam li jaye gi, unhon ne farmaya ke woh Allah ki qasam khayenge kyunke torah aur injeel Allah ki kitabe hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ عَنِ الْيَهُودِيِّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيِّ ، أَيُسْتَحْلَفُ بِالتَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ ؟ قَالَ : « اسْتَحْلِفُوهُ بِاللَّهِ ، فَإِنَّ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنْجِيلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ »
