كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
Regarding a man who has a debt owed to him but it is denied.
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ لَهُ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ الدَّيْنُ، فَيَجْحَدُهُ

Hazrat Sufian says that there is no harm if gold is exchanged for gold and silver for silver, but goods and animals should not be exchanged for gold and silver. Hazrat Wakee says that we too say the same.
حضرت سفیان فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر سونے کا سونے کے ساتھ اور چاندی کا چاندی کے ساتھ مقاصہ کرے تو کوئی حرج نہیں، لیکن سامان اور حیوان کا سونا، چاندی کے ساتھ مقاصہ نہ کرے۔ حضرت وکیع فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم بھی اسی طرح کہیں گے۔
Hazrat Sufyan farmate hain keh agar sone ka sone ke sath aur chandi ka chandi ke sath muqasah kare to koi harj nahi, lekin saman aur hewan ka sona, chandi ke sath muqasah na kare. Hazrat Waqih farmate hain keh hum bhi isi tarah kahenge.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ ، يَقُولُ : « لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَقْبِضَ الذَّهَبَ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةَ مِنَ الْفِضَّةِ ، وَلَا يَقْبِضُ عُرُوضًا ، وَلَا حَيَوَانًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلَا فِضَّةٍ ».
