كِتَابُ الْبُيُوعِ وَالْأَقْضِيَةِ
Regarding a man who gives money to another for profit-sharing (mudaraba).
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَدْفَعُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ مَالًا مُضَارَبَةً

Hazrat Hammad disliked that the mudarib (profit-sharing agent) would say to his partner, "I will take twenty or thirty dirhams from you," and he saw no harm if he said, "I will take a third, a fourth, or a half more from you."
حضرت حماد اس بات کو ناپسند کرتے تھے کہ مضارب اپنے ساتھی سے یوں کہے کہ : میں تجھ سے بیس یا تیس درہم لوں گا، اور اگر وہ یوں کہے کہ میں تجھ سے ثلث، ربع یا سدس زیادہ لوں گا تو کوئی حرج نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Hammad is baat ko napasand karte the ke muzarhib apne sathi se yun kahe ke: mein tujh se bees ya tees dirham lun ga, aur agar woh yun kahe ke mein tujh se suls, ruba ya sudus ziada lun ga to koi harj nahin hai.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ : يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْمُضَارِبُ لِصَاحِبِهِ : أَنَا أُفْضِلُكَ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ ثَلَاثِينَ ، وَلَا يَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يَقُولَ : أُفْضِلُكَ بِثُلُثٍ أَوْ رُبُعٍ أَوْ سُدُسٍ
