كِتَابُ الطِّبِّ
Regarding where to apply cupping on the head.
فِي الْحِجَامَةِ أَيْنَ تُوضَعُ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ

It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Mak'hul that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to have his hair parted from the lower part of his forehead, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to call it 'al-Munqid' (the rescuer).
حضرت مکحول سے روایت ہے۔ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی کرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) (اپنی) پیشانی کے بالوں کے نچلے حصہ میں پچھنے لگواتے تھے اور اس کو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) منقذ کا نام دیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، قَالَ : « كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَحْتَجِمُ أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الذُّؤَابَةِ ، وَيُسَمِّيهَا مُنْقِذًا »
