كِتَابُ الْعَقِيقَةِ
What is said over the 'Aqiqah when it is slaughtered
مَا يُقَالُ عَلَى الْعَقِيقَةِ إِذَا ذُبِحَتْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 24270
It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah that he said that just as Bismillah is recited on the sacrifice, similarly Bismillah should be recited on the Aqeeqah. That is, Bismillah this is the Aqeeqah of so and so.
حضرت قتادہ سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جس طرح قربانی پر بسم اللہ پڑھی جاتی ہے اسی طرح عقیقہ پر بسم اللہ پڑھی جائے گی۔ یعنی بسم اللہ فلاں کا عقیقہ ہے۔
Hazrat Qatadah se riwayat hai woh kahte hain ke jis tarah qurbani par Bismillah padhi jati hai usi tarah aqiqah par Bismillah padhi jayegi yani Bismillah falan ka aqiqah hai
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : " يُسَمِّي عَلَى الْعَقِيقَةِ كَمَا يُسَمِّي عَلَى الْأُضْحِيَّةِ : بِسْمِ اللَّهِ عَقِيقَةُ فُلَانٍ "
