Who said some teeth are valued more than others
مَنْ قَالَ: تُفَضَّلُ بَعْضُ الْأَسْنَانِ عَلَى بَعْضٍ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 26978
Hazrat Ibn Juraij narrated to me that Ata said that there are five camels in each of the two front upper and lower teeth, and in the four adjacent teeth on each side, and in the canines, and two camels in each of the remaining teeth. This is equal for both the upper and lower jaws: the four front teeth, the four adjacent teeth on each side, and the canines. And similarly, the upper and lower molars are all equal in diyat.
حضرت ابن جریج کا ارشاد ہے کہ مجھے عطائ نے کہا ہے کہ اوپر نیچے کے سامنے والے دو دو دانتوں، اور ان کے ساتھ والے چاروں اوپرنیچے کے دانتوں، اور کچلی کے دانتوں میں پانچ پانچ اونٹ ہیں اور باقی دانتوں میں دو دو اونٹ ہیں، اس میں اوپر کا منہ کا حصہ اور نے چ والا دونوں برابر ہیں اوپر اور نیچے کے سامنے والے چاروں دانت اور ان کے ساتھ والے چار اور کچلی والے دانت، اور اسی طرح منہ کی اوپر والی ڈاڑھیں اور نیچے والی سب کے سب برابر ہیں دیت میں۔
Hazrat Ibn Juraij ka irshad hai keh mujhe Ataa ne kaha hai keh upar neeche ke samne wale do do danton, aur in ke sath wale chaaron upar neeche ke danton, aur kachli ke danton mein panch panch ont hain aur baqi danton mein do do ont hain, is mein upar ka munh ka hissa aur neeche wala donon barabar hain upar aur neeche ke samne wale chaaron dant aur in ke sath wale chaar aur kachli wale dant, aur isi tarah munh ki upar wali daarien aur neeche wali sab ke sab barabar hain deet mein.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي عَطَاءٌ : « الْأَسْنَانُ فِي الثَّنِيَّتَيْنِ وَالرَّبَاعِيَّتَيْنِ ، وَالنَّابَيْنِ خَمْسٌ خَمْسٌ ، وَفِيمَا بَقِيَ بَعِيرَانِ بَعِيرَانِ ، أَعْلَى الْفَمِ وَأَسْفَلُهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ سَوَاءٌ ، ثَنِيَّةٌ وَرَبَاعِيَةٌ وَنَابَا أَعْلَى الْفَمِ وَأَسْفَلِهِ سَوَاءٌ ، وَأَضْرَاسُ أَعْلَى الْفَمِ ، وَأَضْرَاسُ أَسْفَلِ الْفَمِ سَوَاءٌ »
