Regarding the thief, who said: His hand is cut off for less than ten dirhams?

‌فِي السَّارِقِ، مَنْ قَالَ: يُقْطَعُ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ عَشَرَةِ دَرَاهِمَ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 28086

Hazrat Aisha narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: The punishment for cutting off a hand will be forty dinars or more.

حضرت عائشہ فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : ہاتھ کاٹنا چار دینار یا اس سے زائد میں ہوگا۔

Hazrat Ayesha farmati hain keh Nabi Kareem (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Hath kaatna chaar dinar ya is se ziada mein hoga.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَا جَمِيعًا : أَخْبَرَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ، قَالَ : « الْقَطْعُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا »
