كِتَابُ الْأُمَرَاءِ
What was mentioned about the traditions of rulers and visiting them
مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأُمَرَاءِ وَالدُّخُولِ عَلَيْهِمْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30537
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said, Walid bin Uqbah said during the sermon, 'O people of Kufa! I make it obligatory on the person who named me 'the one with thick chest hair' to stand up.' So they were troubled by his making it obligatory, and they said to him, 'The man who stands up and admits that I named you this will be killed.' Ibn Aun said that it was Udi who gave him this name.
حضرت محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے روایت ہے فرماتے ہیں کہ ولید بن عقبہ نے خطبے کے دوران کہا اے اہل کوفہ ! میں لازم کرتا ہوں اس شخص پر جس نے مجھے ” سینے کے گھنے بالوں والا “ کا نام دیا ہے کہ وہ کھڑا ہوجائے، چنانچہ اس کے اس لازم کرنے سے پریشان ہوگئے، اور اس کو کہا کہ جو آدمی کھڑا ہو کر یہ اقرار کرے گا کہ میں نے آپ کو یہ نام دیا ہے وہ قتل کردیا جائے گا، ابن عون فرماتے ہیں کہ عدی نے ہی اس کو یہ نام دیا تھا۔
Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) se riwayat hai farmate hain keh Waleed bin Aqba ne khutbe ke doran kaha aye ahl kufa main lazim karta hun is shaks par jis ne mujhe "seene ke ghane balon wala" ka naam diya hai keh woh khara ho jaye chunancha is ke is lazim karne se pareshan ho gaye aur is ko kaha keh jo aadmi khara ho kar ye iqrar kare ga keh maine aap ko ye naam diya hai woh qatal kar diya jaye ga Ibn Aun farmate hain keh Adi ne hi is ko ye naam diya tha
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ : « يَا أَهْلَ الْكُوفَةِ ، أَعْزِمُ عَلَى مَنْ سَمَّانِي أَسْعَرِيرَ كَا لَمَا قَامَ »، فَخَرَجَ عَدِيٌّ مِنْ غُرْفَتِهِ ، فَقَامَ فَقَالَ لَهُ : " إِنَّهُ . . . الَّذِي يَقُومُ فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا الَّذِي سَمَّيْتُكَ ، "، قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ : وَكَانَ هُوَ الَّذِي سَمَّاهُ
