كِتَابُ الْأُمَرَاءِ
What was mentioned about the traditions of rulers and visiting them
مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأُمَرَاءِ وَالدُّخُولِ عَلَيْهِمْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30615
Hazrat Umair bin Sa'd narrates that when Hazrat Ali (R.A.) returned from the Battle of Jamal and began preparations for Siffin, the people of Banu Nakha' gathered and went to Ash'ath. You inquired whether there was anyone in this house besides the people of Banu Nakha'. They replied in the negative. You said, 'Indeed, this group has killed their best men. We advanced towards the people of Basra, upon whom we had the right of allegiance. So, we were aided in breaking their covenant. Verily, you will soon march towards the people of Syria, upon whom you do not have the right of allegiance. Therefore, every man should see and think carefully about where he will strike his sword.'
حضرت عمیر بن سعد فرماتے ہیں کہ جب حضرت علی (رض) جنگ جمل سے واپس ہوئے اور صفّین کی تیاری کرنے لگے تو قبیلہ نخع والے جمع ہو کر اشتر کے پاس پہنچ گئے، آپ نے پوچھا کہ اس گھر میں قبیلہ نخع کے لوگوں کے علاوہ کوئی آدمی نہیں ؟ انھوں نے نفی میں جواب دیا، آپ نے فرمایا بیشک اس جماعت نے اپنے بہترین آدمی قتل کردیے، اور ہم نے اہل بصرہ کی طرف پیش قدمی کی جن پر ہمارا بیعت کا حق تھا پس ان کی عہد شکنی کے ساتھ ہماری مدد کی گئی، بیشک تم لوگ عنقریب اہل شام کی طرف کوچ کرو گے جن پر تمہیں بیعت کا حق حاصل نہیں ہے، اس لیے ہر آدمی کو چاہیے کہ دیکھ لے اور خوب سوچ لے کہ اپنی تلوار کہاں چلائے گا۔
Hazrat Umair bin Saad farmate hain ki jab Hazrat Ali (RA) Jang Jamal se wapas huye aur Safeen ki tayari karne lage to qabeela Nakha walay jama ho kar Ashter ke pass pahunch gaye, aap ne poocha ki iss ghar mein qabeela Nakha ke logon ke ilawa koi aadmi nahi? Unhon ne nafi mein jawab diya, aap ne farmaya beshak iss jamaat ne apne behtarin aadmi qatl kar diye, aur hum ne ehl Basra ki taraf pesh qadmi ki jin par humara bai't ka haq tha pas un ki ahad shikni ke sath humari madad ki gayi, beshak tum log anqareeb ehl Sham ki taraf کوچ karo ge jin par tumhen bai't ka haq hasil nahi hai, is liye har aadmi ko chahiye ki dekh le aur khoob soach le ki apni talwar kahan chalaye ga.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ فُرَاتٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا رَجَعَ عَلِيٌّ مِنَ الْجَمَلِ ، وَتَهَيَّأَ إِلَى صِفِّينَ اجْتَمَعَتِ النَّخَعُ حَتَّى دَخَلُوا عَلَى الْأَشْتَرِ ، فَقَالَ : هَلْ فِي الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا نَخْعِيٌّ ، قَالُوا : لَا ، قَالَ : « إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ عَمَدَتْ إِلَى خَيْرِهَا فَقَتَلَتْهُ ، وَسِرْنَا إِلَى أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ قَوْمٌ لَنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَيْعَةٌ فَنُصِرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بِنُكْسِهِمْ ، وَإِنَّكُمْ سَتَسِيرُونَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ قَوْمٌ لَيْسَ لَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ بَيْعَةٌ ، فَلْيَنْظُرِ امْرُؤٌ أَيْنَ يَضَعُ سَيْفَهُ ؟»
