كِتَابُ الْأُمَرَاءِ
What was mentioned about the traditions of rulers and visiting them
مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأُمَرَاءِ وَالدُّخُولِ عَلَيْهِمْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30656
Ibn 'Aun said, "Muslim b. Yasar had a higher status in Basra than Hasan al-Basri until he stayed with Ibn al-Ash'ath; that lowered his rank. So Abu Sa'id (al-Hasan al-Basri) remained of high status, while the other man's status declined."
ابن عون فرماتے ہیں کہ مسلم بن یسار اہل بصرہ میں حسن بصری سے زیادہ مقام کے حامل تھے یہاں تک کہ ابن الأشعث کے ساتھ رہنے کی وجہ سے ان کا مرتبہ گھٹ گیا، اس لیے ابو سعید حسن بصری بلند مرتبہ ہی رہے اور دوسرے کا مقام گرگیا۔
Ibn Aun farmate hain keh Muslim bin Yasar ahle Basra mein Hasan Basri se ziada maqam ke hamil thay yahan tak keh Ibn ul Ash'ath ke sath rehne ki waja se unka martaba ghat gaya, is liye Abu Saeed Hasan Basri buland martaba hi rahe aur dusre ka maqam gir gaya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ قَالَ : « كَانَ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ أَرْفَعَ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ مِنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ حَتَّى خَفَّ مَعَ ابْنِ الْأَشْعَثِ وَكَفَّ الْآخَرُ ، فَلَمْ يَزَلْ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فِي عُلْوٍ مِنْهَا وَسَقَطَ الْآخَرُ »
