كِتَابُ الْأُمَرَاءِ
What was mentioned about the traditions of rulers and visiting them
مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأُمَرَاءِ وَالدُّخُولِ عَلَيْهِمْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30660
It is narrated on the authority of Hasan that Ziyad sent a message with Hukm bin Amr al-Ghifari to the governor of Khurasan, saying that the Commander of the Faithful says that gold and silver should be separated for him and not distributed among the people. He wrote in reply: I have received your letter in which you mentioned that the Commander of the Faithful has sent this message that gold and silver should be kept separate for him, and I have read the Book of Allah before the letter of the Commander of the Faithful. By Allah, if the heavens and the earth were to close in on a servant, then Allah would make a way out for him if he fears Allah. Peace be upon you. Then he said to the people: Bring your belongings to me in the morning, so they brought them, and you distributed all the wealth among them.
حضرت حسن سے روایت ہے کہ زیاد نے حکم بن عمرو غفاری کو پیغام بھیجا جو خراسان کے عامل تھے کہ امیر المؤمنین فرماتے ہیں کہ ان کے لیے سونا اور چاندی علیحدہ کرلی جائے اور لوگوں کے درمیان تقسیم نہ کی جائے، انھوں نے جواب میں لکھا : مجھے آپ کا خط ملا جس میں آپ نے ذکر کیا ہے کہ امیر المؤمنین نے یہ پیغام بھیجا ہے کہ ان کے لیے سونا اور چاندی علیحدہ رکھ لیا جائے، اور میں نے امیر المؤمنین کے خط سے پہلے کتاب اللہ کو پڑھ لیا ہے، بخدا اگر آسمان و زمین کسی بندے پر بالکل بند بھی ہوجائیں پھر وہ اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے لیے راہ نکال دیں گے، والسلام علیکم، پھر انھوں نے لوگوں سے فرمایا کہ صبح میرے پاس اپنے مال لاؤ ، چنانچہ وہ لائے تو آپ نے وہ سارا مال ان کے درمیان تقسیم کردیا۔
Hazrat Hassan se riwayat hai ki Zyad ne Hukm bin Amr Ghafari ko paigham bheja jo Khorasan ke Amil thay ke Ameer-ul-Momineen farmate hain ke un ke liye sona aur chandi alag kar liya jaye aur logon ke darmiyan taqseem na ki jaye, unhon ne jawab mein likha: Mujhe aap ka khat mila jis mein aap ne zikar kya hai ke Ameer-ul-Momineen ne yeh paigham bheja hai ke un ke liye sona aur chandi alag rakh liya jaye, aur maine Ameer-ul-Momineen ke khat se pehle kitab Allah ko parh liya hai, Bukhda agar Aasman-o-zameen kisi bande par bilkul band bhi hojain phir wo Allah Ta'ala se daray to Allah Ta'ala us ke liye raah nikal denge, Wassalam Alaikum, phir unhon ne logon se farmaya ke subah mere pass apne maal lao, chunancha wo laye to aap ne wo sara maal un ke darmiyan taqseem kardiya.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ : كَتَبَ زِيَادٌ إِلَى الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْغِفَارِيِّ وَهُوَ عَلَى خُرَاسَانَ أَنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَتَبَ أَنْ يُصْطَفَى لَهُ الْبَيْضَاءُ وَالصَّفْرَاءُ فَلَا تُقَسَّمُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ذَهَبًا وَلَا فِضَّةً ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ : " بَلَغَنِي كِتَابُكَ ، تَذْكُرُ أَنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كَتَبَ أَنْ يُصْطَفَى لَهُ الْبَيْضَاءُ وَالصَّفْرَاءُ ، وَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ قَبْلَ كِتَابِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَإِنَّهُ وَاللَّهِ : لَوْ أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا عَلَى عَبْدٍ ثُمَّ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ : « اغْدُوَا عَلَى مَالِكُمْ » ، فَغَدَوْا فَقَسَّمَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ
