كِتَابُ الْأُمَرَاءِ
What was mentioned about the traditions of rulers and visiting them
مَا ذُكِرَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْأُمَرَاءِ وَالدُّخُولِ عَلَيْهِمْ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 30704
Abu al-'Ala' said that the people said to Mu'tarif, "This is 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Ash'ath who is coming." Mu'tarif said, "By Allah! He has attacked between two things. If he is victorious, then the religion will not be established for Allah, and if he is defeated, then you will be humiliated until the Day of Judgment."
ابو العلاء فرماتے ہیں کہ لوگوں نے مطرف سے کہا کہ یہ عبد الرحمن بن اشعث آ رہا ہے، مطرف نے فرمایا : اللہ کی قسم ! یہ دو باتوں کے بیچ میں حملہ آور ہوا ہے، اگر یہ غالب آیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے دین قائم نہیں ہوگا، اور اگر مغلوب ہوگیا تو تم قیامت تک ذلیل رہو گے۔
Abu al-Ala farmate hain keh logon ne Mutraf se kaha keh yeh Abdur Rahman bin Ashas aa raha hai, Mutraf ne farmaya: Allah ki qasam! Yeh do baaton ke beech mein hamla awar hua hai, agar yeh ghalib aaya to Allah taala ke liye deen qaem nahin hoga, aur agar maghloob hogaya to tum qayamat tak zaleel raho ge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنِ الْجَرِيرِيِّ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ : قَالُوا لِمُطَرِّفٍ : هَذَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ ، فَقَالَ مُطَرِّفٌ : " وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَابَنِي أَمْرَانِ : لَئِنْ ظَهَرَ لَا يَقُومُ لِلَّهِ دِينٌ ، وَلَئِنْ ظُهِرَ عَلَيْهِ لَا يَزَالُوا أَذِلَّةً إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ "
