Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31737
"Hamid said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked if the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to raise his hands." He said yes! One Friday, the people complained and said, O Messenger of Allah! There is a drought and the land has dried up and the cattle have perished. You raised your hands until I saw your armpits, and at that time there was not a piece of cloud in the sky. We had not yet prayed when even the young strong man was thinking of getting home." He said that it rained on us for a week. Then the people said, "O Messenger of Allah! The houses have collapsed and the riders have been trapped." The narrator said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled at the impatience of the son of Adam, and said, "O Allah! Rain around us and not on us." It is said that the sky cleared up."
حمید کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت انس سے سوال پوچھا گیا کہ کیا رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنے ہاتھ اٹھاتے تھے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا جی ہاں ! ایک جمعہ لوگوں نے شکایت کی اور کہا یا رسول اللہ ! بارش کا قحط ہوگیا ہے اور زمین خشک ہوگئی اور مال ہلاک ہوگیا ہے، آپ نے اپنے ہاتھ بلند کیے یہاں تک کہ میں نے آپ کے بغل دیکھے، اور اس وقت آسمان میں بادل کا کوئی ٹکڑا نہیں تھا، ہم نے ابھی تک نماز نہیں پڑھی تھی کہ جوان مضبوط جسم کے آدمی کو بھی گھر پہنچنے کی فکر لگی ہوئی تھی، کہتے ہیں کہ ایک جمعہ تک ہم پر بارش ہوتی رہی، پھر لوگوں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ ! گھر گرگئے اور سوار محبوس ہوگئے، راوی نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ابن آدم کے اتنی جلدی اکتا جانے پر مسکرائے، اور فرمایا اے اللہ ! ہمارے ارد گرد برسائیے اور ہم پر نہ برسائیے، کہتے ہیں کہ اس پر آسمان صاف ہوگیا۔
Hameed kehte hain ki Hazrat Anas se sawal poocha gaya ki kya Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) apne hath uthate thay? Unhon ne farmaya ji haan! Aik jumma logon ne shikayat ki aur kaha Ya Rasool Allah! Barish ka qaht hogaya hai aur zameen khushk hogayi aur maal halaak hogaya hai, aap ne apne hath buland kiye yahan tak ki maine aap ke baghal dekhe, aur us waqt aasman mein badal ka koi tukda nahi tha, hum ne abhi tak namaz nahi parhi thi ki jawan mazboot jism ke aadmi ko bhi ghar pahunchne ki fikr lagi hui thi, kehte hain ki aik jumma tak hum par barish hoti rahi, phir logon ne arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah! Ghar girgaye aur sawaar mahboos hogaye, ravi ne farmaya ki Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ibn Adam ke itni jaldi ukta jaane par muskraye, aur farmaya Aye Allah! Humare ird gird barsaiye aur hum par na barsaiye, kehte hain ki us par aasman saaf hogaya.
حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : سُئِلَ : هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، شَكَا النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ ذَاتَ جُمُعَةٍ فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَحَطَ الْمَطَرُ وَأَجْدَبَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَهَلَكَ الْمَالُ ، قَالَ : فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبِطَيْهِ وَمَا فِي السَّمَاءِ قَزَعَةُ سَحَابٍ ، فَمَا صَلَّيْنَا حَتَّى إِنَّ الشَّابَّ الْقَوِيَّ الْقَرِيبَ الْمَنْزِلِ لَيُهِمُّهُ الرُّجُوعُ إِلَى مَنْزِلِهِ ، قَالَ : فَدَامَتْ عَلَيْنَا جُمُعَةً ، قَالَ : فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ تَهَدَّمَتِ الدُّورُ وَاحْتُبِسَتِ الرُّكْبَانُ ; قَالَ : فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مِنْ سُرْعَةِ مَلَالَةِ ابْنِ آدَمَ فَقَالَ : « اللَّهُمَّ ، حَوَالَيْنَا لَا عَلَيْنَا » ، قَالَ : فَأَصْحَتِ السَّمَاءُ
