كِتَابُ الْفَضَائِلِ
Chapter on what Allah Almighty granted to Muhammad ﷺ.
بَابُ مَا أَعْطَى اللَّهُ تَعَالَى مُحَمَّدًا ﷺ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31746
Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to deliver sermons while leaning on a trunk of a date palm tree. When he had the pulpit made, he moved towards it, so the trunk started crying until he held it and embraced it, then it calmed down. He then said, "If I had not embraced it, it would have continued crying till the Day of Judgment."
حضرت ابن عباس فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ایک شہتیر سے ٹیک لگا کو خطبہ دیا کرتے تھے، جب آپ نے منبر بنوا لیا تو اس کی طرف منتقل ہوگئے، چنانچہ وہ شہتیر رونے لگا یہاں تک کہ آپ نے اس کو پکڑ کر گلے لگا لیا تو اس کو سکون ہوگیا، تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ اگر میں اس کو گلے نہ لگاتا تو یہ قیامت تک روتا رہتا۔
Hazrat Ibn Abbas farmate hain ke Nabi (SAW) aik shahter se tek laga kar khutba diya karte thay, jab aap ne mimbar banwa liya to us ki taraf muntaqil hogaye, chunancha wo shahter rone laga yahan tak ke aap ne us ko pakar kar gale laga liya to us ko sukoon hogaya, to aap ne farmaya ke agar main us ko gale na lagata to ye qayamat tak rota rehta.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ : ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ إِلَى جِذْعٍ ، فَلَمَّا اتَّخَذَ الْمِنْبَرَ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَحَنَّ الْجِذْعُ حَتَّى أَخَذَهُ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ فَسَكَنَ فَقَالَ : « لَوْ لَمْ أَحْتَضِنْهُ لَحَنَّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ »
