كِتَابُ الْفَضَائِلِ
What has been mentioned concerning Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ﵁.
مَا ذُكِرَ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ﵁
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 31945
Hazrat Ibn Hanifiyyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked my father, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), "Who was the best of people after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said, "Abu Bakr." I asked, "Then who?" He said, "Umar." I asked, "And you?" He said, "Your father was an ordinary man among the Muslims."
حضرت ابن حنفیہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے والد حضرت علی (رض) سے پوچھا : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے بعد لوگوں میں سب سے بہترین شخص کون تھا ؟ انوہں نے فرمایا : ابوبکر تھے۔ میں نے پوچھا : پھر کون تھا ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : عمر تھے۔ میں نے پوچھا : اور آپ ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : تمہارا والد مسلمانوں میں سے ایک عام آدمی تھا۔

Unhon ne farmaya: Abu Bakr the. Maine poocha: Phir kaun tha? Unhon ne farmaya: Umar the. Maine poocha: Aur aap? Unhon ne farmaya: Tumhara wald musalmanon mein se ek aam aadmi tha.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ جَامِعٍ ، عَنْ مُنْذِرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِأَبِي : مَنْ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ : « أَبُو بَكْرٍ »، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : « ثُمَّ عُمَرُ »، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فَأَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ : « أَبُوكَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ »
