كِتَابُ الْسير
What is disliked to be carried to the enemy to strengthen them
مَا يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُحْمَلَ إِلَى الْعَدُوِّ فَيَتَقَوَّى بِهِ

"Hazrat Ata (may Allah be pleased with him) disliked selling weapons to the enemy. The narrator says that I asked: 'What about selling horses?' He forbade that too, and said: 'Do not sell anything that will strengthen them in war. There is no harm in other things.'"
حضرت عطاء (رض) دشمن کو اسلحہ فروخت کرنے کو ناپسند کرتے تھے راوی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عرض کیا : گھوڑے فروخت کرنا کیسا ہے ؟ انھوں نے اس کا بھی انکار کیا، اور فرمایا : جس چیز سے وہ جنگ میں قوت حاصل کریں وہ نہ فروخت کرے، اس کے علاوہ چیزوں میں کوئی حرج نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Ata (Razi Allah Anho) dushman ko aslaha farokht karne ko napasand karte thay. Ravi kehte hain ki maine arz kiya: ghore farokht karna kaisa hai? Unhon ne iska bhi inkar kiya, aur farmaya: Jis cheez se woh jang mein quwwat hasil karen woh na farokht kare, iske ilawa cheezon mein koi harj nahin hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، نا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، أَنَّهُ " كَرِهَ حَمْلَ السِّلَاحِ إِلَى الْعَدُوِّ قَالَ : قُلْتُ لَهُ : تُحْمَلُ الْخَيْلُ إِلَيْهِمْ ؟ قَالَ : فَأَبَى ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ : أَمَّا مَا يُقَوِّيهِمْ لِلْقِتَالِ فَلَا ، وَأَمَّا غَيْرُهُ فَلَا بَأْسَ ، وَقَالَهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ "
