On the Battle of Abu Ubaid against Mihran and How It Was
فِي قِتَالِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ مِهْرَانَ وَكَيْفَ كَانَ أَمْرُهُ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 33742
Hazrat Sa'd ibn Ibrahim narrates that he passed by a man on the day of Hazrat Abu Ubaidah's martyrdom, whose hands and feet had been cut off. He was reciting this verse of the Holy Quran: { مَعَ الَّذِینَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّہُ عَلَیْہِمْ مِنَ النَّبِیِّینَ وَالصِّدِّیقِینَ وَالشُّہَدَائِ وَالصَّالِحِینَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِکَ رَفِیقًا } (With those whom Allah has blessed, of the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions). A man passing by asked, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'I am an Ansar.'
حضرت سعد بن ابراہیم فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ حضرت ابو عبید کی شہادت کے دن ایک آدمی کے پاس سے گزرے اس کے ہاتھ اور پاؤں کاٹ دیئے گئے تھے۔ وہ قرآن مجید کی اس آیت کی تلاوت فرما رہے تھے : { مَعَ الَّذِینَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّہُ عَلَیْہِمْ مِنَ النَّبِیِّینَ وَالصِّدِّیقِینَ وَالشُّہَدَائِ وَالصَّالِحِینَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِکَ رَفِیقًا } ان کے پاس سے گزرنے والے ایک شخص نے پوچھا کہ آپ کون ہیں ؟ انھوں نے کہا کہ میں ایک انصاری ہوں۔
Hazrat Saad bin Ibrahim farmate hain ke woh Hazrat Abu Ubaid ki shahadat ke din aik aadmi ke pass se guzre uske hath aur paon kaat diye gaye the. Woh Quran Majeed ki is ayat ki tilawat farma rahe the: { Ma'a allatheena an'ama Allahu 'alayhim mina alnnabiyyeena waalsiddiqeena waalshshuhadaa'i waalsaleheen wa hasuna ula'ika rafeeqan } Unke pass se guzarne wale aik shakhs ne poocha ke aap kaun hain? Unhon ne kaha ke main aik Ansari hun.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، إِنَّهُ مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَوْمَ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ وَقَدْ قُطِعَتْ يَدَاهُ وَرِجْلَاهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : ﴿ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقًا ﴾ [ النساء : ٦٩ ]، فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ مَنْ مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ : مَنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ : « امْرُؤٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ »
