Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34128
Hazrat Yahya bin Abdur Rahman bin Hatim narrates from his father that we were sitting with Hazrat Ka'b bin Ahbar (may Allah be pleased with him) in the mosque, and he was narrating a hadith. Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and sat at the edge of the gathering. He then called out to Hazrat Ka'b, "May you be destroyed, O Ka'b! You have terrified us today." Hazrat Ka'b replied, "By the One in whose grip my soul is, on the Day of Judgment, the Fire will draw near, and there will be cries and screams for it. When it comes close, it will take a single breath, and due to its awe, all the prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs will fall to their knees." He continued, "Then, every prophet, truthful one, and martyr will say, 'O Allah, today I only ask You about myself.' And, O Ibn Khattab! Even if the deeds of the prophets were for you, you would still fear that you might not be saved." Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) remarked, "By Allah, the matter is indeed extremely grave."
حضرت یحییٰ بن عبدالرحمن بن حاطب اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ہم لوگ حضرت کعب بن احبار (رض) کے پاس مسجد میں بیٹھے تھے وہ حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے، حضرت عمر (رض) تشریف لائے اور لوگوں کے کنارے پر تشریف فرما ہوگئے پھر ان کو پکارا اور کہا اے کعب تیرا ناس ہو، آج آپ نے ہمیں خوف زدہ کردیا حضرت کعب نے فرمایا قسم اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ میں میری جان ہے، قیامت کے دن آگ قریب ہوجائے گی اس کیلئے چیخ و پکار ہوگی یہاں تک کہ جب وہ قریب ہوجائے گی تو وہ ایک مرتبہ سانس لے گی اس کی ہیبت کی وجہ سے تمام انبیاء صدیقین اور شہداء گھٹنوں کے بل جھک جائیں گے، اور پھر ہر نبی صدیق اور شہید کہے گا : اے اللہ آج میں آپ سے صرف اپنا ہی سوال کرتا ہوں اور اے ابن خطاب ! اگر تیرے لیے نبیوں کا عمل بھی ہو پھر بھی تجھے خوف ہوگا کہ تیری نجات نہ ہوگی حضرت عمر (رض) نے ارشاد فرمایا : خدا کی قسم معاملہ بہت زیادہ سخت ہے۔
Hazrat Yahya bin Abdur Rahman bin Hatim apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki hum log Hazrat Kaab bin Ahbar (RA) ke paas masjid mein baithe thay woh hadees bayan kar rahe thay, Hazrat Umar (RA) tashreef laye aur logon ke kinare par tashreef farma hogaye phir un ko pukara aur kaha aye Kaab tera nas ho, aaj aap ne humein khauf zada kardiya Hazrat Kaab ne farmaya qasam is zaat ki jis ke qabza mein meri jaan hai, qayamat ke din aag qareeb hojaigi is ke liye cheekh o pukar hogi yahan tak ke jab woh qareeb hojaigi to woh ek martaba saans legi is ki haibat ki wajah se tamam ambia siddiqin aur shuhada ghutnon ke bal jhuk jayenge, aur phir har nabi siddiq aur shaheed kahega : aye Allah aaj mein aap se sirf apna hi sawal karta hun aur aye Ibn Khattab ! agar tere liye nabiyon ka amal bhi ho phir bhi tujhe khauf hoga ki teri nijaat na hogi Hazrat Umar (RA) ne irshad farmaya : Khuda ki qasam mamla bohat zyada sakht hai.
حَدَّثَنَا ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ، يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ ، عَنْ ، أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : جَلَسْنَا إِلَى كَعْبِ الْأَحْبَارِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ ، فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ فَجَلَسَ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَنَادَاهُ فَقَالَ : « وَيْحُكَ يَا كَعْبُ ، خُوِّفْنَا » ، فَقَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، إِنَّ النَّارَ لَتُقَرَّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَهَا زَفِيرٌ وَشَهِيقٌ حَتَّى إِذَا أُدْنِيَتْ وَقُرِّبَتْ زَفَرَتْ زَفْرَةً مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ وَلَا صِدِّيقٍ وَلَا شَهِيدٍ إِلَّا وَجَثَا لِرُكْبَتَيْهِ سَاقِطًا ، حَتَّى يَقُولَ كُلُّ نَبِيٍّ وَكُلُّ صِدِّيقٍ وَكُلُّ شَهِيدٍ : اللَّهُمَّ لَا أُكَلِّفُكَ الْيَوْمَ إِلَّا نَفْسِي ، وَلَوْ كَانَ لَكَ يَا ابْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَمَلُ سَبْعِينَ نَبِيًّا لَظَنَنْتُ أَنْ لَا تَنْجُوَ ، قَالَ عُمَرُ : « وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ الْأَمْرَ لَشَدِيدٌ »
