Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 34318
It is narrated from Hazrat Dahak bin Muzahim that he said: Once a person came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Who is the greatest renunciant among the people in the affairs of the world?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The one who does not forget the graves and the decaying, and who leaves the best of the adornment of this world, and who prefers what remains over what perishes, and who does not count tomorrow as part of his lifespan, and who considers himself among the dead.
حضرت ضحاک بن مزاحم سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی خدمت میں ایک شخص حاضر ہوا۔ اس نے کہا یا رسول اللہ 5! دنیا کے معاملہ میں لوگوں میں سب سے بڑا زاہد کون ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : ” جو شخص قبروں اور بوسیدہ ہونے کو نہ بھولے۔ اور دنیا کی زینت میں سے افضل کو چھوڑ دے، اور باقی رہنے والی کو فنا ہونے والی پر ترجیح دے اور کل کے دن کو اپنے ایام (حیوۃ) میں سے شمار نہ کرے اور اپنے کو مردوں میں شمار کرے۔
Hazrat Dahak bin Muzahim se riwayat hai woh kehte hain ke janab rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki khidmat mein ek shakhs hazir hua. Usne kaha ya rasool Allah! Duniya ke mamle mein logon mein sab se bada zahid kaun hai? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: "Jo shakhs qabron aur boseeda hone ko na bhoole. Aur duniya ki zeenat mein se afzal ko chhor de, aur baqi rahne wali ko fana hone wali par tarjeeh de aur kal ke din ko apne ayyam (hayat) mein se shumar na kare aur apne ko murdon mein shumar kare.
حَدَّثَنَا ، أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنْ ، سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ فَرُّوخَ ، عَنْ ، الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ مُزَاحِمٍ ، قَالَ : " أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَنْ أَزْهَدُ النَّاسِ فِي الدُّنْيَا ؟ فَقَالَ : « مَنْ لَمْ يَنْسَ الْمَقَابِرَ وَالْبِلَى ، وَتَرَكَ أَفْضَلَ زِينَةِ الدُّنْيَا ، وَآثَرَ مَا يَبْقَى عَلَى مَا يَفْنَى ، وَلَمْ يَعُدَّ غَدًا مِنْ أَيَّامِهِ ، وَعَدَّ نَفْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَوْتَى »
