The Words of Ibn Munabbih
كَلَامُ ابْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ

It is narrated about Hazrat Ibn Munabbih that he was sitting with Taoos and his companions and the people of that time. They started discussing among themselves which commandment of Allah was the fastest. Some of them said: The word of Allah 'kalmahil basar' (in the twinkling of an eye). Some said: When the throne was brought to Prophet Sulaiman (AS). Hazrat Ibn Munabbih said: The fastest of Allah's commands was when Hazrat Yunus (AS) was on the shore of the ship and Allah commanded the fish of the Nile of Egypt. Ibn Munabbih said: So he fell from the shore of the ship into the belly of the fish.
حضرت ابن منبہ کے بارے میں روایت ہے کہ وہ، طاؤس اور ان جیسے اور اس زمانہ کے لوگوں کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے۔ انھوں نے آپس میں اس بات کا ذکر چھیڑا کہ کون سا امر خداوندی سب سے تیز تھا ؟ تو ان میں سے بعض نے کہا : ارشاد خداوندی کَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ اور بعض نے کہا۔ تخت جب حضرت سلیمان کے پاس لایا گیا اس پر حضرت ابن منبہ نے فرمایا : اللہ تعالیٰ کے حکموں میں سے تیز ترین یہ تھا کہ حصرت یونس، کشتی کے کنارے پہ تھے جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے مصر کے نیل کی مچھلی کو حکم دیا۔ ابن منبہ کہتے ہیں۔ پس وہ کشتی کے کنارے سے مچھلی کے پیٹ میں جا کر گرے۔
Hazrat Ibn Munabbah ke bare mein riwayat hai ki woh Taus aur un jaise aur us zamanay ke logon ke pass baithe hue thay Unhon ne aapas mein is baat ka zikar chhera ki kaun sa amr Khudaawandi sab se tez tha To un mein se baaz ne kaha irshad Khudaawandi Kalma-ul-Basar aur baaz ne kaha takht jab Hazrat Sulaiman ke pass laya gaya us par Hazrat Ibn Munabbah ne farmaya Allah Ta'ala ke hukmon mein se tez tareen yeh tha ki Hazrat Yunus kashti ke kinare pe thay jab Allah Ta'ala ne Misr ke Neil ki machhli ko hukum diya Ibn Munabbah kehte hain pas woh kashti ke kinare se machhli ke pet mein ja kar gir gaye
أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ لَا أَتَّهِمُ عَنِ ابْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ ، أَنَّهُ جَلَسَ هُوَ وَطَاوُسٌ وَنَحْوُهُمَا مِنْ أَهْلِ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانِ ، فَذَكَرُوا أَيُّ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ أَسْرَعُ ؟ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : قَوْلُ اللَّهِ : ﴿ كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ ﴾ [ النحل : ٧٧ ]، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ : السَّرِيرُ حِينَ أُتِيَ بِهِ سُلَيْمَانُ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ مُنَبِّهٍ : أَسْرَعُ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ يُونُسَ عَلَى حَافَّةِ السَّفِينَةِ ، إِذْ أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَى نُونٍ فِي نِيلِ مِصْرَ ، قَالَ : فَمَا خَرَّ مِنْ حَافَّتِهَا إِلَّا فِي جَوْفِهِ "
