كِتَابُ الزُّهْدِ
The Words of al-Hasan al-Basri
كَلَامُ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 35267
It is narrated about Hazrat Abu Hazim that he used to say, "A little bit of this world makes one forgetful of the Hereafter, which is far greater." Then he said, "You will find a person who is more concerned with others than himself, while he should have been more concerned with his own self than others."
حضرت ابوحازم کے بارے میں روایت ہے کہ وہ کہا کرتے تھے۔ تھوڑی سی دنیا، بہت زیادہ آخرت سے مشغول کردیتی ہے۔ پھر فرمایا : تم ایسے آدمی کو پاؤ گے جو غیر کی فکر میں اپنے آپ سے مشغول ہوگا۔ جبکہ اس کو دوسرے کی فکر سے زیادہ اپنے نفس کی فکر رکھنی چاہیے تھی۔
Hazrat Abu Hazim ke bare mein riwayat hai ki woh kaha karte the. Thori si dunya, bohot ziada aakhirath se mashgool kar deti hai. Phir farmaya: Tum aise aadmi ko pao ge jo ghair ki fikar mein apne aap se mashgool hoga. Jabke usko doosre ki fikar se ziada apne nafs ki fikar rakhni chahiye thi.
قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَسِيرُ الدُّنْيَا يُشْغِلُ عَنْ كَثِيرِ الْآخِرَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِنَّكَ تَجِدُ الرَّجُلَ يَشْغَلُ نَفْسَهُ بِهَمِّ غَيْرِهِ حَتَّى لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ اهْتِمَامًا مِنْ صَاحِبِ الْهَمِّ بِهَمِّ نَفْسِهِ "
