كِتَابُ الزُّهْدِ
What They Said About Crying Out of Fear of Allah
مَا قَالُوا فِي الْبُكَاءِ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ

Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Abi Rawahah (R.A) narrates that when some amusement and laughter began to appear in the habits of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), Allah, the Most Blessed, the Most High, revealed this verse: {Has not the time yet come for those who have believed that their hearts should be humbled at the remembrance of Allah} till the end of the verse. "Has not the time yet come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humble at the remembrance of Allah..."
حضرت عبدالعزیز ابی رواد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ اصحابِ پیغمبر (رض) کی عادات میں کچھ مزاح اور ہنسی ظاہر ہونے لگی تو اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی : { أَلَمْ یَأْنِ لِلَّذِینَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُہُمْ لِذِکْرِ اللہِ } آخر آیت تک۔ ” کیا ایمان والوں کے لیے وہ وقت نہیں آگیا کہ ان کے دل اللہ کے ذکر سے ڈر جائیں۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (RA) farmate hain ki Ashab-e-Rasool (RA) ki aadaton mein kuch mazaah aur hansi zahir hone lagi to Allah ta'ala ne yeh ayat nazil farmai: {Alam ya'ni lilladheena amano an takhsha'a quloobuhum li dhikr-illahi} aakhir ayat tak.
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَسَدِيُّ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ظَهَرَ فِيهِمِ الْمِزَاحُ وَالضَّحِكُ ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : ﴿ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ﴾ [ الحديد : ١٦ ] إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ
