Abu Umamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘verily, Allah has honored me over other Prophets’ or he said, ‘my nation over the nations, and He has made the spoils of war lawful for us.’ Imam Tirmidhi said, there are narrations on this topic from Ali, Abu Dharr, Abdullah bin Amr, Abu Musa, and Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنهم). The Hadith of Abu Umamah is Hasan Sahih. They say that this Sayyar (a narrator) is Sayyar the freed slave of Banu Mu'awiyah. Sulaiman At-Taimi, Abdullah bin Bahir and others reported from him. There is another chain for this Hadith from Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) who narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, I have been honored over the Prophets with six (things). I have been given Jawami' Al-Kalim ( ِجَوَامِعَ الْكَلِم), I have been aided by (the ability to cause in the enemy) fright, the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, the Earth has been made as a Masjid and purifier for me, and I have been sent to all creatures, and with me Prophethood is sealed.’

ابوامامہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے انبیاء و رسل پر فضیلت بخشی ہے“ ( یا آپ نے یہ فرمایا: ”میری امت کو دوسری امتوں پر فضیلت بخشی ہے، اور ہمارے لیے مال غنیمت کو حلال کیا ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوامامہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں علی، ابوذر، عبداللہ بن عمرو، ابوموسیٰ اور ابن عباس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
Abooamamah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Nabi e Akram sallallahu alaihi wassallam ne farmaya: “Allahu ta'ala ne mujhe anbiya o rusul par fazilat bakshi hai” ( ya aap ne ye farmaya: “Meri ummat ko doosri ummaton per fazilat bakshi hai, aur hamare liye maal ghanimat ko halal kiya hai”۔ Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: 1. Abooamamah ki hadees hasan sahih hai, 2. is bab mein Ali, Aboozar, Abdullah bin Amro, Aboo Musa aur Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bhi ahadees aayi hain.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَضَّلَنِي عَلَى الْأَنْبِيَاءِ، أَوْ قَالَ: أُمَّتِي عَلَى الْأُمَمِ، وَأَحَلَّ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمَ ، وَفِي الْبَاب، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، وَأَبِي مُوسَى، وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: حَدِيثُ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَسَيَّارٌ هَذَا يُقَالُ لَهُ: سَيَّارٌ مَوْلَى بَنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَحِيرٍ، وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ.
