Chapter: What Has Been Related About the Matter of the Sirat

باب مَا جَاءَ فِي شَأْنِ الصِّرَاطِ

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2432

Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the sign of the believers upon the Sirat is, O lord, protect (us), protect (us).' Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Gharib from the narrations of Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) as we do not know of it except through the narration of Abdur Rahman bin Ishaq. There is something on this topic from Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه).

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”پل صراط پر مومن کا شعار یہ ہو گا: «رب سلم سلم» میرے رب! مجھے سلامت رکھ، مجھے سلامت رکھ“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث مغیرہ بن شعبہ کی روایت سے غریب ہے، اسے ہم صرف عبدالرحمٰن بن اسحاق ( واسطی ہی ) کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، ۲- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے۔

Mugairah bin Sha'bah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Pul Siraat par Momin ka shi'aar yeh hoga: «Rab Sallam Sallam» mere Rab! mujhe salamat rakh, mujhe salamat rakh"۔ Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: 1. yeh hadees Mugairah bin Sha'bah ki riwayat se gharib hai, isse hum sirf Abdul Rahman bin Ishaq (wasi hee) ki riwayat se jaante hain, 2. is bab mein Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se bhi riwayat hai.

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ شِعَارُ الْمُؤْمِنِ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ رَبِّ سَلِّمْ سَلِّمْ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2433

An-Nadr bin Anas bin Malik narrated from his father who said, ‘I asked the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to intercede for me on the Day of Judgement. He said, 'I am the one to do so.' I said, 'O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), then where shall I seek you?' He said, 'seek me, the first time you should seek me is on the Sirat.' I said, 'if I do not meet you upon the Sirat?' He said, 'then seek me at the Mizan.' I said, 'and if I do not meet you at the Mizan?' He said, 'then seek me at the Hawd, for indeed I will not me missed at these three locations.' Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except from this route.

انس بن مالک رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی اکرم ﷺ سے درخواست کی کہ آپ قیامت کے دن میرے لیے شفاعت فرمائیں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”ضرور کروں گا“۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں آپ کو کہاں تلاش کروں گا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”سب سے پہلے مجھے پل صراط پر ڈھونڈنا“، میں نے عرض کیا: اگر پل صراط پر آپ سے ملاقات نہ ہو سکے، تو فرمایا: ”تو اس کے بعد میزان کے پاس ڈھونڈنا“، میں نے کہا: اگر میزان کے پاس بھی ملاقات نہ ہو سکے تو؟ فرمایا: ”اس کے بعد حوض کوثر پر ڈھونڈنا، اس لیے کہ میں ان تین جگہوں میں سے کسی جگہ پر ضرور ملوں گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔ اسے ہم صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

Insaan bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke mein ne Nabi-e-Akram sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam se darkhast ki ke aap qiyaamat ke din mere liye shafa'at farmaien, aap ne farmaya: "Zarur karun ga". Mein ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasool! Mein aap ko kahan talash karoon ga? Aap ne farmaya: "Sab se pehle mujhe pul sirat par dhondna", mein ne arz kiya: Agar pul sirat par aap se mulaqat na ho sake, to farmaya: "To us ke baad meezaan ke paas dhondna", mein ne kaha: Agar meezaan ke paas bhi mulaqat na ho sake to? Farmaya: "Us ke baad hauz-e-kauthar par dhondna, is liye ke mein in teen jagahon mein se kisi jagah par zarur milun ga". Imam Tirmidhi kehte hain: Yeh hadees hasan gharib hai. Isse hum sirf isi sand se jaante hain.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ لِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا فَاعِلٌ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَأَيْنَ أَطْلُبُكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اطْلُبْنِي أَوَّلَ مَا تَطْلُبُنِي عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَلْقَكَ عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَاطْلُبْنِي عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَلْقَكَ عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَاطْلُبْنِي عِنْدَ الْحَوْضِ فَإِنِّي لَا أُخْطِئُ هَذِهِ الثَّلَاثَ الْمَوَاطِنَ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
