Chapter: Regarding Al-Muawwadhtayn (Surat Al-Falah and Surat An-Nas)

باب وَمِنْ سُورَةِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3366

Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) looked at the moon and he said, ‘O Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها), do you seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this? For indeed this is the darkened one as it darkens ( َالْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَب). Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے چاند کی طرف دیکھ کر فرمایا: ”عائشہ! اس کے شر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگو، کیونکہ یہ «غاسق» ہے جب یہ ڈوب جائے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Umme-ul-Momineen Aaisha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kahti hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne chaand ki taraf dekh kar farmaya: "Aaisha! Uske shar se Allah ki panaah mango, kyunki yeh «Ghasq» hai jab yeh doob jaaye" 1؎. Imam Tirmizi kahte hain: Yeh Hadith Hasan Sahih hai.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعَقَدِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَائِشَةُ اسْتَعِيذِي بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ هَذَا هُوَ الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.

Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhni narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, Allah has revealed to me Ayat the likes of which have not been seen – [Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind', the sovereign of the mankind, the God of the mankind; from the evil of the insidious whisperer (Satan/Devil), who whispers evil consideration (evil suggestions) into the hearts of people, (both) from among the jinns and people.] (An-Naas: 1-6). And [Say: 'I seek refuge with the lord of the Daybreak', from the evil of (certain) creatures (Satan, evil Jinns, humans, and others. ) And from the evil of darkness as it deepens (during the night). And from the evil of (women practicing) witchcraft and blowing (spells) over knotted ropes. And from the evil of the envious when he is jealous (and tries to harm).] (Al-Falaq: 1-5). Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

عقبہ بن عامر جہنی رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ نے مجھ پر کچھ ایسی آیتیں نازل کی ہیں کہ ان جیسی آیتیں کہیں دیکھی نہ گئی ہیں، وہ ہیں «قل أعوذ برب الناس» آخر سورۃ تک اور «قل أعوذ برب الفلق» آخر سورۃ تک۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Aqba bin Aamer Jahni (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ke Nabi e Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Allah ne mujh par kuchh aisi aayaten nazil ki hain ke in jaisi aayaten kahin dekhi nahin gayi hain, woh hain «Qul A'oozu Bir Rabbi n-nas» aakhir surat tak aur «Qul A'oozu Bir Rabbi l-falaq» aakhir surat tak. Imam Tirmidhi kahte hain: yeh hadees hasan sahih hai.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ آيَاتٍ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ سورة الناس آية 1 إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ و قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ سورة الفلق آية 1 إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
