Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1599
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to a delegation from Abdul Qais, ‘I order you to give the Khumus from your spoils of war.’ Imam Tirmidhi said, there is a story with this Hadith and this Hadith is Hasan Sahih. There is another chain for this Hadith with similar narration.

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے وفد عبدالقیس سے فرمایا: ”میں تم لوگوں کو حکم دیتا ہوں کہ مال غنیمت سے خمس ( یعنی پانچواں حصہ ) ادا کرو، امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث میں ایک قصہ ہے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Abdullah bin Abbas razi Allah anhuma se riwayat hai ki Nabi Akram sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne wafd Abd al Qais se farmaya: “main tum logon ko hukum deta hun ki maal ghanimat se khums (yani panchwan hissa) ada karo, Imam Tirmidhi kahte hain: is hadees mein ek qissa hai. Imam Tirmidhi kahte hain: yah hadees hasan sahih hai.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِوَفْدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ: آمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا خُمُسَ مَا غَنِمْتُمْ ، قَالَ: وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ قِصَّةٌ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
