Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2372
Simak bin Harb narrated that he heard An-Nu'man bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) saying, 'do you (people) not have what you wish of food and drink?' I have seen your Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and he did not have even enough dry dates ( ِالدَّقَل) to fill his stomach.' Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Sahih. Abu Awanah and more than one other narrator narrated to us from Simak bin Harb like the narration of Abu A1-Ahwas. Shubah narrated this Hadith from Simak from An-Nu'man bin Bashir from Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنهما).

نعمان بن بشیر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ تم لوگ جو چاہتے ہو کھاتے پیتے ہو حالانکہ میں نے نبی اکرم ﷺ کو اس حال میں دیکھا کہ ردی کھجوریں بھی اس مقدار میں آپ کو میسر نہ تھیں جن سے آپ اپنا پیٹ بھرتے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔
Numan bin Bashir ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke tum log jo chahte ho khate peete ho halankeh main ne Nabi e Akram sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam ko is hal mein dekha ke ردی khajoriyan bhi is miqdar mein aap ko mayassar nah thin jin se aap apna pet bharte. Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: ye hadees hasan sahih hai.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَال: سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَقُولُ: أَلَسْتُمْ فِي طَعَامٍ وَشَرَابٍ مَا شِئْتُمْ ؟ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ نَبِيَّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا يَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ مَا يَمْلَأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ، قَالَ: وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
