Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2451
Rabi'ah bin Yazid and Atiyyah bin Qais narrated from Atiyyah As-Sa'di (رضي الله تعالى عنه) and he was one of the Companions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), that the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘the servant shall not reach the state of being among the Muttaqin until he leaves what there is no harm in out of caution for its harm.’ Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Gharib as we do not know of it except through this route.

عطیہ سعدی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”بندہ متقیوں کے مقام کو نہیں پہنچ سکتا جب تک کہ وہ اس بات کو جس میں کوئی حرج نہ ہو، اس چیز سے بچنے کے لیے نہ چھوڑ دے، جس میں برائی ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، اسے ہم صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔
Atiya Saadi (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Banda mutqeen ke maqam ko nahin pahunch sakta jab tak ke woh is baat ko jis mein koi harj na ho, is cheez se bachne ke liye na chhod de, jis mein burai hai"۔ Imam Tirmidhi kehte hain: Yeh hadees hasan gharib hai, isse hum sirf isi sand se jaante hain.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، وَعَطِيَّةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ السَّعْدِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا يَبْلُغُ الْعَبْدُ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ حَتَّى يَدَعَ مَا لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ حَذَرًا لِمَا بِهِ الْبَأْسُ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.
