Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3025
Ibrahim narrated from Abidah that Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) said, ‘the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to me, 'recite for me.' I said, 'O Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Shall I recite for you while it is to you whom it was revealed?' He said, 'I love to hear it from other than me.’ So I recited Surat An-Nisa until I reached - [So how will it be when We bring a witness from all nations, and We bring you (O' Prophet ﷺ) as a witness and a watcher over them?] (An-Nisa - 41), I saw the eyes of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) were overflowing with tears.’ Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is more correct that the narration of Abu Al-Ahwas. There is another chain of narrators for the above Hadith like the narration of Muawiya bin Hisham.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”مجھے قرآن پڑھ کر سناؤ“۔ میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں آپ کے سامنے قرآن پڑھوں قرآن تو آپ ہی پر نازل ہوا ہے؟، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اپنے سے ہٹ کر دوسرے سے سننا چاہتا ہوں“، تو میں نے سورۃ نساء پڑھی، جب میں آیت: «وجئنا بك على هؤلاء شهيدا» پر پہنچا تو میں نے دیکھا کہ آپ کی دونوں آنکھیں آنسو بہا رہی تھیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث ابوالا ٔحوص کی روایت سے صحیح تر ہے۔
Abdul'allah bin Mas'ood radiyallahu 'anhu kehte hain ke mujh se Rasool'ullah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "Mujhe Quran padh kar sunao" . Main ne kaha: Allah ke Rasool! main aap ke samne Quran padhun Quran to aap hi par nazil hua hai? , Aap ne farmaya: "Apne se hat kar dusre se sunna chahta hun" , to main ne Surah Nisa padhi, jab main aayat: «Waj'na bik aalaa haazira shaheed» par pahuncha to main ne dekha ke aap ki dono aankhen aanso baha rahi thin" . Imam Tirmizi kehte hain: yeh Hadith Abu'al'a'hoos ki riwayat se sahih tar hai.
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي، فَقَرَأْتُ سُورَةَ النِّسَاءِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغْتُ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ شَهِيدًا سورة النساء آية 41 قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُ عَيْنَيِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَهْمِلَانِ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ.
